Background:With the rapid economic development,the level of per capita income had gradually increased.Meanwhile,various factors such as environment and diet had led to an increasing number of people suffering from chronic diseases,and sub-health problems had become prominent.Therefore,people had gradually realized the importance of health preservation.The current health foods on the market were mainly classified according to their efficacy.However,the effects of health foods were mostly focused on enhancing immunity,relieving physical fatigue,and anti-oxidation,and they were not very targeted.Therefore,health foods often failed to achieve the expected effects after being used,and cannot meet people's health needs.Current health foods can be roughly divided into nutrient supplements and health foods based on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and foods.TCM had a long history of health preservation,and many medical classics had recorded the contents of medicated diet and diet therapy.These provided a strong theoretical support for the development of traditional Chinese medicine health foods.Especially for the treatment of complex diseases,TCM had very prominent advantages.Therefore,it was possible to construct traditional Chinese medicine health foods that meet the needs of different groups of people based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine.Objective:The design of traditional Chinese medicine health foods lacked complete theories and methods,and the effective ingredients and action mechanism of Chinese medicine health foods were not clear,which led to high products homogeneity and lacked of traditional Chinese medicine health foods that met the needs of special populations.Therefore,in order to improve the design method of health foods and improve the use effects of health foods,this study was based on the medicinal property theory of TCM and graph database to improve the design method of Chinese medicine health foods.In addition,the auxiliary analysis system and platform for the mechanism of Chinese medicine health foods were designed in the research,which can be used to analyze the mechanism of Chinese medicine health food and clarify its functional components and mechanism of action.Methods:(1)This study proposed a prescription method based on the Combination mode of medicinal properties.Used Neo4j graph database to integrate TCM that were both foods and medicines,TCM that can be used for health foods published by National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China,common foods and their medicinal properties to build a traditional Chinese medicine health foods prescription system,which was used as the background data and formulating platform for the prescription design of traditional Chinese medicine health foods.Two parameters were proposed to evaluate the results of prescription design.(2)Based on the Entity Grammar Systems(EGS),a formal model of the analysis system of the action mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine health foods was constructed.Collected and sorted out the relevant data of the system:TCM and foods that can be added to health foods,the corresponding chemical components,the targets of chemical components,diseases and disease-related proteins,and other protein molecules involved in the biological network.Based on Neo4j graph data,an auxiliary analysis system for the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine health foods was constructed,and it was made into an API to provide a user interface to the outside world.(3)Based on the different TCM classifications of essential hypertension(EP)in the "Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Hypertension",this study used the Combination mode of medicinal properties of the treatment prescriptions of each syndrome type as the templates,and used the formula design method of traditional Chinese medicine health foods and the auxiliary analysis system of the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine health foods.Designed traditional Chinese medicine health foods prescriptions of different TCM syndrome types,and randomly selected one of these prescriptions to analyze the mechanism of action.Results:(1)The study put forward a prescription design method based on the Combination mode of medicinal properties,which was called the"stepwise optimization method".At the same time,two parameters,"the similarity of the new prescription and the combination mode of medicinal properties "S and "the difference of the new prescription and the combination mode of medicinal properties " Y,were used for formula evaluation and optimization method.A prescription design system for traditional Chinese medicine health foods containing 319 TCM and foods was created as a data platform for prescription design of traditional Chinese medicine health foods.(2)Based on EGS and Neo4j graph database,an auxiliary analysis system for the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine health foods was constructed,and made the system into an open API.Based on this system,the molecular mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine health foods can be analyzed,the key chemical components in the prescriptions,and the effects of the prescriptions on diseases can be analyzed.The mechanism provided a certain foundation for the further development of prescriptions.The analysis of the prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine health foods from the molecular level also verified the reliability of the formula design method proposed in the study.(3)According to different TCM syndrome types of EP,corresponding traditional Chinese medicine health foods formulas were designed,and the prescription results conformed to the law of TCM compatibility.The molecular mechanism of one of the prescriptions was analyzed,and the results proved the reliability of the prescription design method,and the obtained prescriptions can be used for further development and utilization.Conclusions:This research put forward the "step-by-step optimization method" for the design method of traditional Chinese medicine health food prescriptions and the corresponding prescription design,which made the prescription process more efficient and faster,and the results were more concise and accurate.The method utilized the Combination mode of medicinal properties,effectively shortens the design time of health foods,and quickly obtained health foods for different groups of people.The obtained health foods formulas conforms to the principle of Chinese medicine compatibility,and the applicable objects were more targeted.Traditional Chinese medicine health foods and the human body were complex systems,using informatics methods to analyze the mechanism of action and effective ingredients of Chinese medicine health food prescriptions,providing a strong data basis for its further development.
