Retrospective Analysis Of Astragalus, Guizhi And Wuwuhua Prescription In The Treatment Of Qi And Yin Deficiency Type Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Purpose:To summarize the clinical effect of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction Modified on diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)with deficiency of both qi and yin by retrospective case-control study,and to provide data and basis for TCM treatment of DPN.Materials and Methods: 63 patients who visited the Outpatient Department of Li Changhui,the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of TCM from September 2017 to December 2019 were selected by retrospective analysis according to the inclusion criteria(diagnosis,inclusion and exclusion criteria)of this study.They were divided into the control group(n = 29)and the treatment group(n = 34).Both groups received conventional basic treatment.The control group additionally took metronidazole tablets(0.5 mg,3 times a day,orally).The treatment regimen of the control group was combined with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction Modified(1 dose per day,2 times a day)for 12 weeks.The changes of blood glucose index,nerve conduction velocity,TCM clinical symptom score,TCSS score and clinical efficacy before and after treatment were observed,and the data were statistically analyzed.Results:1.Blood glucose level: The levels of FPG?2h PG?Hb Alc in the two groups did not decrease significantly after treatment(p>0.05);2.Nerve conduction velocity: The MCV and SCV of the median and common fibula in the two groups were significantly increased after treatment(p<0.01),and the treatment group was better than the control group(p<0.05)or(p<0.01);3.TCM clinical symptom score: After treatment,the scores of the two groups were significantly reduced(p<0.01);compared with the control group,the reduction of the lack of energy score was not statistically significant(p>0.05),and the rest of the scores and total scores were treated The group decreased more significantly(p<0.05)or(p<0.01).4.TCSS score: After treatment,the scores of the two groups were significantly reduced(p<0.01),and the treatment group was better than the control group(p<0.05);5.Comprehensive efficacy: the effective rate of the control group is 68.97%,the effective rate of the treatment group is 91.18%,and the treatment group is better than the control group(p<0.05);6.Safety: No adverse reactions occurred.Conclusion:1.Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction Modified can improve the nerve conduction velocity of DPN patients with deficiency of both qi and yin.2.Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction Modifiedcan alleviate the symptoms and signs of DPN patients with deficiency of both qi and yin,and improve the clinical efficacy.
