A Study Of Dialect Phonetics In Zhenba County, Shaanxi Province

Zhenba County belongs to Hanzhong City of Shaanxi Province,which is located in the south of Shaanxi Province and borders Wanyuan city of Sichuan Province.Zhenba dialect belongs to the Southwestern Mandarin,Sichuan Guizhou and Southern Shaanxi tablet,but it is precisely because of its unique geographical location that its dialect has its own distinctive characteristics.This paper takes Zhenba dialect as the research object,on the basis of fieldwork and description,using the basic research methods such as synchronic comparison and historical comparison,makes a comprehensive description and analysis of the phonetic system of Zhenba dialect,and tries to make some preliminary explanations to further explain the whole picture of Zhenba dialect.There are seven chapters in the text:The first chapter "Introduction" introduces the geographical population,historical evolution and the general situation of human culture of Zhenba County,and then sorts out the research status of Zhenba dialect and the phonetic research status of Southern Shaanxi dialect.Finally,it points out the shortcomings of the existing research results,and briefly explains the significance,research methods and corpus sources of this paper.The second chapter "the phonetic system of Zhenba dialect" mainly describes the phonetic system of Zhenba dialect,looks at the phonetic characteristics of Zhenba dialect from the synchronic comparison,and arranges the phonetic and rhyme coordination table.The third chapter "the phonetic change phenomenon of Zhenba dialect" describes the phonetic change phenomenon of Zhenba dialect,including the continuous tone change of non overlapping two word group and three word group,the continuous tone change of reduplicated word group and the phenomenon of light tone and the Chinese"rhyme of er".The fourth chapter "the list of homonyms in Zhenba dialect" is to sort out the list of homonyms in Zhenba dialect by investigating and sorting out the dialect materials.The fifth chapter "the comparison between Zhenba dialect and ancient Chinese phonology" compares the initials,finals,tones and middle ancient sound of Zhenba dialect.The sixth chapter "the differences of literary and colloquial readings in Zhenba dialect" describes and sums up the phenomenon of different reading of literary and colloquial in initials and finals in Zhenba dialect.Chapter seven " Comparison between Zhenba dialect,Chengdu dialect and Xi’an dialect " compares Zhenba dialect with Chengdu dialect and Xi’an dialect in terms of synchronic and diachronic similarities and differences in dialect voice,rhyme and tone,so as to find out the characteristics of Zhenba dialect as a Southwest Mandarin.The appendix "Zhenba dialect vocabulary questionnaire" describes Zhenba dialect vocabulary by using dialect vocabulary questionnaire in the first issue of 2003.It is verified with the linked tone tables listed in the text,so that the others can know more about the actual phonetic features of Zhenba dialect.
