On Liu Gongquan's Inheritance And Innovation Of Regular Script In The Early And Middle Tang Dynasties

Liu Gongquan is a great calligrapher with innovation and refinement.He sums up the experience of his predecessors.He combined Ouyang Xun’s Square pen with Yan Zhenqing’s round pen,internal collection and external expansion,forming a unique face of thin,hard,strange,dangerous,straight,tight middle palace and open and close outside.In the Tang Dynasty,Liu Gongquan promoted calligraphy to the peak with his exquisite method,broad,rigorous and dangerous structure and dense and harmonious constitution.Liu Gongquan,one of the four masters of regular script,inherited and innovated the regular script in the early and middle Tang Dynasty,integrating the ancient method with his own will,forming the third peak of regular script in Tang Dynasty.Liu Ti has become one of the best calligraphy for learning regular script since Tang Dynasty and Ming Dynasty.It helps future generations to absorb nutrition from it,and also helps me get a lot of benefits from it.It makes me have a deeper understanding of the creation of regular script.Liu Gongquan combines the experience of predecessors and then adds his own method of brushwork to give me enlightenment and direction,hoping to explore the way in the future.On the way,I will find a way that suits my calligraphy.
