| Since the beginning of the prevalence of western theories in the East,the study of hetuvidyā has ushered in the second peak,but at the same time,it has also fallen into the paradigm of interpreting according to the West.Scholars often compare hetuvidyā with western formal logic.Therefore,the introduction of generalized argumentation logic can not only break through the study of hetuvidyā from the perspective of western logic,but also bring new vitality to the study of hetuvidyāfrom the perspective of culture.hetuvidyā can be divided into the new and the old,which is usually defined by the creation of the new hetuvidyā by Dignāga.And the concept of " the seven hetuvidyā" is the core concept in old hetuvidyā period—the development of old hetuvidyā is mature in the Buddhist Yoga school,which takes theāptimātratāsiddhi as the basic purpose.As a part of nyaya system in ancient India,the seven hetuvidyā absorbed many logical theories of nyaya sutras,and both of them had the theory of debate with pramā?a as their basic knowledge theory.Based on the detailed definition of several basic Buddhist logical concepts and the analysis of the seven aspects of the seven hetuvidyā,this paper explores the unique logical system of the seven hetuvidy from three aspects of social context,activity norms and demonstration norms,and then restores and depicts the debate mode of the seven hetuvidyā.and then it is concluded that the seven hetuvidyā is a logic theory of debate with its own cultural characteristics similar to language game,in which cultural characteristics mainly include the defense of faith and the elimination of debate.Finally,from the perspective of general argumentation,this paper reinterprets the problem of Vij & ntilde measure rough made by Xuanzang. |
