In the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, there were separatist regimes, political turbulence and continuous wars.Under the background, the author were forced to move around and their thoughts and creations were inevitably affected. At the same time,Ci,as a new type of text expression, gradually flourished. From the academic history of the geographical and regional studies of Ci,it can be seen that there are few studies and few systematic discussions on the geographical distribution of various literary elements in this period. Therefore,it is necessary to sort out the geographical distribution of Ci in the late Tang and Five Dynasties.Under the guidance of the "Literary Geography" theory, this dissertation attempts to sort out the geographical distribution of Ci in the late Tang and Five Dynasties. The dissertation is divided into four chapters. The introduction firstly reviews the discipline construction and theoretical construction of literary geography, and the research on geography and region in Ci studies.Secondly,it clarifies the necessity and importance of studying the geographical distribution and regional culture of late Tang and Five Dynasties Ci.Finally, the research ideas, chapter structure and methodology of the whole text are introduced. The introductory part first reviews the construction of the discipline of literary geography and its theoretical construction, and sorts out the studies on geography and region in the study of lexicography. The first chapter is the distribution of Ci poets in the late Tang and Five Dynasties. The first part is to comb the basic information of Ci poets. The second part is to make lists of the geographical distribution of the Ci poets who belong to the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties. Then, according to the author’s official career and migration,we can get an activity list of the poets so that we can conclude that the territory of Ci at that time has the characteristics of diffusion, southernization and urban centripetal force. On this basis, five literary regions and six regional literary centers were formed. The second chapter is the regional differentiation of the content of Ci in the late Tang and Five Dynasties. This chapter analyzes the geographical information of the content of Ci Poetry of Ci poets who belong to six regional literary centers, namely Chang’an Luoyang Kaifeng,Dunhuang,Chengdu,Changsha Jiangling,Jiangdu Jinling Hangzhou,Changle Quanzhou and xingwangfu. The local or immigrant poets in the same regional literary center have different perceptions of the external environment. This phenomenon is particularly noticeable among the poets of Western Shu.On the whole, the geographical factors are mainly regional development,in addition to physical geography. The third chapter compares the regions of the late Tang and Five Dynasties Ci.The results of the regional divergence are analyzed in terms of geographical features, the regional development and the inheritance of literary and cultural origins. It is found that the geographical features have influenced and facilitated the poets’ aesthetic taste and literary choice;the regional development has promoted and encouraged the creation of Ci poetry;the literary and cultural origins make different inheritance styles in different places. The fourth chapter is about the geographical image of Ci in the late Tang and Five Dynasties.Due to the communication and interaction among the poets, the background of their times and the homogeneity of their accepted cultural traditions, the content tends to be the same. This similarity and convergence can be seen in the use and expression of geographical images. In this chapter, the geographical images of the late Tang and Five Dynasties Ci are roughly divided into regional images and landscape images, trying to explain the meaning and differences of these geographical images.Regional image includes border image,Jiangnan image and Jingchu image;landscape image includes two metropolitan image groups, namely Chang’an Luoyang city image group,Wu Yue city image group, and Wushan image group.
