The information in the display design is finally presented to the audience around the theme and arranged according to a certain logic. The effective transmission of the information in the process not only determines the level of the display design, but also determines the core appeal of the display-the audience’s understanding and comprehension of the theme.Obtaining information is a common demand of the audience. The information conveyed to audiences of different ages, preferences, and education levels will produce different levels of psychological feedback, forming different levels of understanding of the theme,or cognition due to the complex and dull local information And the burden of understanding, the information does not match the audience’s needs. Therefore, the author proposes a narrative method that provides individual needs under the concept of commonality, and tries to adapt and integrate the information with the audience."Narrative gravity" is a design concept proposed by the author.Gravity refers to the attraction between two objects or two particles related to the product of their masses."Narrative gravity" refers to the narrative framework where data analysis and active choice are involved in information and audiences. The “forces of mutual influence” generated between them are presented in a modular and hierarchical manner, with multiple story branches and a way of communicating with the audience, deepening the audience’s understanding of the theme on the premise of constructing a complete story. This article will use the author’s design of the China Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo in 2025 to demonstrate the narrative method that provides individual needs under the overall concept of universality.
