Following Sibelius,Rautavaara(1928-2016)is Finland's greatest composer.In his works,he not only applies modern composition techniques but also retains the characteristics of post-romantic music vocabularies,his works thus appearing modern,as well as suggestive of the harsh atmosphere of the Finnish scenery and climate in Scandinavia.Furthermore,his eclectic and postmodern aesthetic concepts set a good exemplary role for the creation of contemporary music.This article takes Lautawala's "Seventh Symphony " Angel of Light " " as the research object.Through understanding the composer's life,his creating background and creative techniques of his works,the article demonstrates the logicality and Technicality,explores the new dimensions and new concepts of the composer's treatment of pitch materials,so as to understand the aesthetic notions that the composer conveys. |
