The Renaissance Movement was an important period in the transition of Western society and culture from the Middle Ages to the modern era.In this period,the Italian church mural art,influenced by the humanist ideas and social secular culture at the time,showed diverse artistic characteristics and represented the entire The highest artistic achievement in the development of western church frescoes is the highest crystallization of wisdom in the painting art of the Italian Renaissance and has a far-reaching influence.This article focuses on the study of the frescoes of Christian churches during the Italian Renaissance.Through the analysis of representative artists and their works,this article focuses on summarizing the artistic characteristics of church frescoes during this period and analyzing their causes.The influence of church mural art on the development of western Christian mural art in later generations.The main body of the thesis is divided into five parts:The first chapter gives an overview of religion and mural art,from the relationship between religion and painting,the origin of Western religious art and the classification of Christian art,discusses the development of Western Christian church murals and the representativeness of church murals during the Italian Renaissance.Chapter Two analyzes the basic concepts and characteristics of Italian Renaissance art,representative artists of this period and their church murals,and elaborates the basic painting concepts and characteristics of each artist,as well as their contributions to the development and change of Italian church murals.Chapters 3 and 4 respectively focus on the analysis of the artistic characteristics and formation reasons of the church murals in the Italian Renaissance.From the dominance of humanism,the revival of imitation and realism,the tendency of secularization and the emergence of realistic themes,It analyzes and summarizes the progress of science and realization techniques,as well as the artist's personality and ideal pursuit.Chapter 5 is the analysis of the influence of Italian Renaissance church murals on later Western Christian painting art,including the analysis of Baroque art,classical art and modern church mural artists,showing their long-term influence.In conclusion,inspired by humanistic ideas and the concept of “imitation” in ancient Greek art,the church murals in the Italian Renaissance completely changed the rigid and stylized traditions of medieval Christian murals,turning religious art into a realistic and realistic development direction.Make it full of human touch and realism.At the same time,with the help of scientific rationality and new scientific techniques,the murals of Italian churches during the Renaissance were pushed to the peak,and they had a profound influence on the art of Christian murals in later generations.
