Piano composer Claude Debussy is an important representative of impressionist music.He has been exploring his own unique and exotic musical vocabulary all his lif e.As a interim work of Debussy,the piano cycle "ESTAMPES" published in 1903 ma rked the maturity of his creative style.The first piece in the collection,"PAGODES",It breaks away from the traditional system of major and minor,and creatively integrat es the pentatonic scale,which makes the work full of strong Oriental colors.Just as D ebussy said,"It is a spiritual journey to the East".This article mainly from three aspec ts to carry on the elaboration and the analysis,the first part introduces "PAGODES" cr eation background and the characteristic;The second part combs the composition fram ework of the whole work,and combs the key points that should be paid attention to in the playing process of each part from the beginning.This part is also a relatively impo rtant chapter of this paper.The third part elaborates the difficulties and performance s kills that should be emphasized in the performance process of the work.This part is al so the focus of this paper.This paper expounds the theory of "PAGODES" and combi nes with its own performance experience,hoping to provide some help to the players and learners of this work.
