This research starts from the practical problem of female sexual assault experience and adopts a mixed research design of qualitative and quantitative.Based on the Chinese social and cultural background, study one explores the influencing factors and the mechanism of female sexual assault experience through in-depth interviews combined with grounded theory.Based on the first study, study two further explored the relationship between the two important factors(sexual objectification experience, body shame)extracted from study one and the experience of female sexual assault.Research 1 used the in-depth interview method to collect data. After the intensity sampling method, five qualified women were selected to participate in the research. The interview data was collected on the premise of the interviewees’ informed consent. The grounded theory analysis method is used to analyze the data, extract 240 initial codes, and further analyze 23 axis codes and 6 core codes.Through the method of categorical analysis and situational analysis,a grounded theoretical model is constructed from top to bottom, and finally summarizes the influencing factors of female sexual assault experience, including: perpetrator, social and cultural environment, family situation, sexual objectification experience, and individual psychology Characteristics(body shame, personality traits, etc.),lack of sexual knowledge, etc.Study 2 explored the relationship between female sexual objectification experience and physical shame and sexual assault experience, combined with previous related research, study 2 hypothesized that female body shame played a mediating role between sexual objectification experience and sexual assault experience.Using "Sexual Assault Experience Scale","Sexual Objectification Experience Questionnaire",and "Body Shame Questionnaire" as research tools, the general situation of female sexual assault experience was analyzed and the mediation model hypothesis was further verified. The results of study two are as follows:1.There is a significant positive correlation between the experience of female sexual objectification and the experience of physical shame;the experience of sexual objectification has a significant positive correlation with the experience of sexual assault;there is a significant positive correlation between the experience of physical shame and the experience of sexual assault.2.Female sexual objectification experience has a positive predictive effect on physical shame, and sexual objectification experience and physical shame have a positive predictive effect on sexual assault experience.3.Women’s body shame plays a completely mediating role between the experience of sexual objectification and the experience of sexual assault. After a comprehensive discussion of the results of Study 1 and Study 2,this study draws the following general conclusions:Female sexual assault experience is affected by many factors, such as the victim, social and cultural environment, family situation, sexual objectification experience, individual psychological characteristics, lack of sexual knowledge, etc.Among them, sexual objectification experience can significantly predict female sexual assault experience, and The feeling of physical shame brought about by sexual objectification experience will also increase the risk of sexual assault;therefore, under the rule of force majeure,Receive standardized sex education, master healthy sexual knowledge, and improve their awareness of sexual objectification and physical self.Cognition can reduce the risk of sexual assault to a certain extent, face gender inequality, and eradicate inequality between men and women. It is an important factor to promote the development of gender relations and the harmonious development of family and society.
