Research On The Creation And Practice Of Oil Painting On The Theme Of Urban Life

This article starts with the connotation of urban theme painting,expounds the category,evolution and aesthetics of urban theme painting.In this paper,three of the painters who inspired and influenced the author’s works are studied: British painter David Hockney,Spanish painter Antonio Lopez-Garcia and American painter Edward Hope Hopper,studied their composition forms,the use of color and the emotional atmosphere expressed in their works.Finally,the author analyzes the composition,color and emotion of the floating City series of works,and summarizes and reflects on the works.The author combines one’s own life experience,created a "floating city" works in Shanghai metro as the breakthrough point,depicting the scene of urban subway,modern urban life state and the inner activities,emotional expression of modern city life,reflects the interpersonal relationship in contemporary urban environment,human and social relations of the care and thought,In the current era of rapid development,we should avoid impetuous and anxiety,and pay attention to people’s spiritual level and inner feelings.
