With the international development of education,it is the trend of education development to import different cultures from different countries,enhance students understanding of multi-culture and cultivate students' international vision.As the "heart" of education,curriculum objectives are inseparable from the cultivation of cultural awareness.Taking English curriculum as an example,it has become a common understanding among teachers that the process of perception,understanding,identification,and integration of diverse cultures is an important way to improve students' cross-cultural literacy.To face the reality,we must frankly admit that cross-cultural literacy education is still not effective due to many factors.In this study,the author takes Sanjie Senior Middle School in Shengzhou City as an example,using the literature review,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics and other research methods.Based on high school students' practice,and reasonably defining the concept of cross-cultural literacy,analyze its core elements,on which the questionnaire survey was conducted on the high school students.According to the survey results,the current situation of high school students' intercultural literacy is understood from the aspects of intercultural knowledge,intercultural competence and intercultural values,etc.The problems and causes existing in intercultural literacy education are analyzed,and countermeasures are proposed to improve the level of intercultural literacy education of high school students.It is found that the overall level of high school students' intercultural literacy is relatively weak,mainly due to the lack of intercultural knowledge teaching,intercultural ability training and being indifferent to the intercultural values in the process of intercultural literacy education.The causes of the problems mainly include the lack of clear objectives of intercultural literacy education,the lack of systematic content of intercultural literacy education,the single methods and methods of intercultural literacy education and the relatively one-sided evaluation of intercultural literacy education.The author to the high school students has their own study enthusiasm and the creativity and improvement of the teachers' educational autonomy as the purpose.Through setting the central role of students and teachers respectively and dominant role,from the education target,education contents,education methods and education evaluation,in combination with the three elements of cross-cultural literacy,namely,intercultural competence and intercultural knowledge across cultural values,delve into the cross-cultural literacy education strategy for the present stage high school students:The objectives of intercultural literacy education should be clarified,the content of intercultural literacy education should be perfected and implemented,and the correct methods of intercultural literacy education should be applied to comprehensively evaluate intercultural literacy education.
