With the development of economy, family income level rises, education consumption level also rises gradually. It is not only conducive to the upward mobility of individuals and the sustainable development of the economy, but also the strategic requirement of the state to give priority to the development of education. In the field of education, the problem of educational consumption inequality is becoming more and more prominent.Although the overall education system is conducive to class upward mobility, but rising education spending generated bubble, education consumption is actually raised the threshold of the education consumption, more strict with personal ascribed factors and indirect exclusion from the effect of factors.Based on the survey data of CGSS(2003-2015),this study used the random coefficient regression model to study the time change trend of intergenerational education consumption elasticity, and verified the existence of the education acquisition model with the coexistence of performance-based and resource-based modes, that is,under the current education acquisition model, the ascribed factors and self-induced factors work together on education consumption. On this basis,if the self-induced factor is in the dominant position, the current education acquisition model tends to self-induced rule.If ascribed factors are in the dominant position, the current educational acquisition model tends to be the ascribed rule. The study found that:the inter-generational education consumption elasticity of the father is greater than that of the mother, and the inter-generational education consumption elasticity will continue to be stable under the education acquisition mode with the coexistence of performance-based and resource-based modes.Among different social strata, urban and rural areas, gender, father's human capital and occupational status and individual's subjective efforts all have different degrees of significant influence on education consumption, and the self-induced factor representing individual's subjective efforts has the greatest effect on education consumption compared with the ascribed factor. The inequality of education consumption in reality has aroused the vigilance against class solidification and been set as a social issue, which indicates the importance of maintaining the fairness of education consumption, strengthening the role of self-induced factors and providing more adequate opportunities for the education consumption of each social member. From the perspective of social class, this study analyzes the mechanism of ascribed factors and self-induced factors on education consumption, tests and clarifies the leading position of self-induced factors through empirical research. Finally, the paper puts forward policy suggestions in seven aspects:the supply of educational resources, the distribution of educational resources, the reduction of the threshold of educational consumption with the help of advanced technology, the remedy of the deficiency of ascribed factors, the provision of academic planning guidance, the improvement of social security mechanism and the formulation of fair educational policies.
