A Study On The Influence Of Primary School Teachers Social Emotional Competence On Their Professional Identity

Teachers are the foundation of Education.Teachers play a vital role in the process of education and teaching.Teachers' mental and physical health are the key to the quality of education.However,with the rapid development of information technology and the lack of face-to-face communication opportunities,virtual expressions have become the main way for people to communicate their feelings,as an important educational resource,teachers' social emotional ability should not be neglected.At the same time,with the development of education reform in China,people gradually realize that the degree of teachers' identification with their profession is related to teachers' attitude to their work and cognition of their own profession.Therefore,it is urgent to study the relationship between teachers' social emotional competence and professional identity.Based on this,this paper studies the effect of primary school teachers' social emotional ability on their professional identity by using teaching efficacy as an intermediary variable,to further improve the primary school teachers' overall teaching ability and professional quality development to provide empirical evidence.This research mainly uses the questionnaire survey method,uses the professional identity scale for primary and middle school teachers,the social emotional ability scale and the teaching efficacy scale which adapted according to the primary and middle school teachers' actual work,in this study,254 primary school teachers in h city of Z province were investigated by means of variance analysis and correlation analysis to explore the relationship among teaching efficacy,professional identity and social emotional ability of primary school teachers.At the same time,the paper discusses the status quo and characteristics of primary school teachers' teaching efficacy,professional identity and social emotional ability,and deduces the relationship among them.The study found:1?The social emotional ability,professional identity and teaching efficacy of primary school teachers are in the middle to upper level,which shows that the overall working state of primary school teachers in h city of Z province is better.2?There were significant differences in social emotional competence,professional identity and teaching efficacy among primary school teachers in demographics.There were significant differences in social emotional ability on years of schooling,academic qualifications and professional titles,and significant differences in professional identity on educational qualifications,years of schooling,age and monthly income There are significant differences in teaching efficacy in terms of seniority,academic qualifications and professional titles.3?There was significant positive correlation among social emotional ability,professional identity and teaching efficacy of primary school teachers.The social emotional ability,professional identity and teaching efficacy of primary school teachers also showed significant positive correlation,that is,the higher the social emotional ability of primary school teachers,the higher the level of teaching efficacy,the higher their professional identity.The three variables are correlated.4?The teaching efficacy of primary school teachers plays a mediating role in the influence of social emotional competence on occupational identity.The intermediate effect of primary school teachers' teaching efficacy accounted for 27.56% of the total effect.This shows that the social emotional ability of primary school teachers can directly affect teachers' professional identity,but teaching efficacy also plays an important role.
