It has always been a basic project to build a powerful education for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.And deepening education reform and accelerating the process of education modernization are the inescapable responsibility of Chinese educators.In the past ten years,because of the deepening of basic education curriculum reform,Chinese educational scholars have gradually realized the engineering educational important value in the basic education stage.In the new round of curriculum reform,it is proposed to introduce engineering education into science education.At the same time,STEM courses including engineering are also being vigorously advocated in our country,and schools actively respond to the development of various types of STEM courses.However,how to ensure that engineering education is truly valued in STEM courses,and whether there are better models for engineering education that can be applied to STEM courses,the current research is not very rich.Based on this,this thesis focuses on the two issues of "what is a better education model for engineering education","how to apply this model to high school biology STEM courses and how effective is the application".This research is carried out through seven chapters.First,through literature review,it discusses the connotation and characteristics of STEM courses and CDIO model,summarizes the current problems in the implementation of high school biology STEM courses,and the advantages of CDIO model;then,Comparing the connotation and characteristics of STEM courses and CDIO mode,analyzing the feasibility of applying CDIO mode to STEM courses,and summarizing the prototype of high school biology STEM curriculum design using CDIO mode;Finally,the "Soilless Cultivation" STEM course is used as a case,and the results of the course implementation are analyzed to obtain the implementation experience.The study found that the application of the CDIO model to high school biology STEM courses is feasible and CDIO model can provide a complete engineering practice framework for STEM courses.It runs through the entire process of STEM courses and has strong theoretical and practical significance.Through case implementation,it is found that high school biology STEM courses using the CDIO model have achieved three application effects:The first is to enable students to use scientific knowledge to solve life problems more actively in the future;the second is to improve their comprehensive thinking skills such as systematic thinking,flexible thinking,and innovative design thinking;the third is to develop students' transferable abilities such as information acquisition,oral expression,and interpersonal communication.In addition,this research makes suggestions based on the course implementation process: STEM courses need sufficient time,teachers should leave students enough time to think and discuss,and schools should also leave teachers enough time to complete a complete STEM course;In the course,the teacher should "say less and observe more",convey as few ideas as possible to the students,understand the status of each student as much as possible and provide timely help.
