This study investigated the current situation of the view of scientific nature of senior one students in a middle school in Suzhou in the form of questionnaire.The results show that the pupils of higher education have a low level of understanding of the nature of science in the three dimensions.At the same time,the students' interest in HPS learning and teaching implementation were investigated and interviewed.It was found that most students were very interested in the HPS teaching content in the classroom,but most teachers only used it as the material introduced by the situation,lacking the in-depth excavation of the nature of science thinking contained in it.Therefore,it is determined that this study constructs a teaching model of HPS integrating the view of scientific nature,which includes five stages:(1)Situational simulation;(2)Problem driven;(3)Teaching integrating HPS;(4)Experimental presentation;(5)Conclusion test.By analyzing the teaching contents related to the scientific history theme of "Regulation of chemical reaction-industrial synthetic ammonia" in chemistry selectivity compulsory 1 of the people's Education Edition,the teaching objectives of the view of scientific nature are refined,and the corresponding teaching methods and teaching cases are displayed.In order to fully verify the effectiveness of integrating HPS into the teaching mode of the essence of Chemical Science in senior high school,this study selects the control group and the experimental group to conduct a comparative and practical research on the integration of HPS into the teaching of the essence of science.Through teaching practice,this paper discusses and analyzes it by using various methods such as questionnaire survey,teacher interview,scale analysis,classroom observation and statistics,and draws the following conclusions:(1)It is feasible to integrate HPS into the teaching mode of the essence of Chemical Science in senior high school(2)HPS teaching mode can effectively develop students' view of the essence of scientific inquiry and scientific cause(3)Students in the experimental group prefer to explore and solve problems from the perspective of scientists(4)HPS teaching mode is helpful to improve students' chemistry learning abilityThis study systematically determines science's view of nature,examines the current state of science's view of senior high school pupils,and presents educational strategies and procedures to cultivate pupils' views on the nature of science in the senior high school textbooks of Jiangsu Education Edition,and puts forward the teaching strategies and teaching procedures.Literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and experimental research are used to explore the impact of the integration of HPS teaching mode on students' nature of science view,inquiry questions and academic performance.There are theoretical elaboration,practical investigation and statistical demonstration,which can provide reference for future research and teaching.
