English curriculum is both instrumental and humanistic.Learning a language is not only to let students learn language and cultural knowledge, but also to let students master how to use language for intercultural communication.Through English teaching, students can broaden their self-confidence and improve their intercultural communicative competence. The literature review in the early stage of this study found that in the field of foreign language teaching, the research on the cultivation of intercultural communicative competence is mainly concentrated in the stage of higher education and secondary education, and there is less research on the stage of primary education. The Critical Period Hypothesis of Second Language Acquisition shows that about 8 to 16 years old is the "critical period" of language acquisition. Therefore, teaching study should pay more attention to students'English learning and intercultural communication ability training in primary education,so as to lay a solid foundation for students' future development. This study focuses on the current real primary school English teaching class, and takes Let's talk class as an example to explore the cultivation of primary school students' intercultural communicative competence. The study first analyzes the content of English materials to know the content of cultural factors, then interviews the primary school English teachers to grasp their understanding and attitude of intercultural communication and their teaching experience in in dialogue teaching, and observes the primary school English dialogue teaching class from the three dimensions of cognitive understanding goal, emotional attitude goal and behavioral skill goal to understand whether the teachers achieve the training objectives.Through the survey,it is found that in the process of cultivating students' intercultural communicative competence through primary school English teaching, there are some problems.Such as teachers' insufficient penetration of cultural knowledge in teaching, teachers' failure to promote students to carry out meaningful dialogue and communication, and teachers' own cultural literacy needs to be improved. The formation of these problems is mainly due to the teachers' lack of accurate grasp of the cultural content of teaching materials before teaching, the improper use of teaching methods and evaluation language in teaching, and the teachers' insufficient attention to the improvement of their own cultural literacy. In view of the above problems, three teaching suggestions are also put forward for teachers:teachers need to make rational use of teaching materials and supplement cultural factors;teachers need to use teaching methods and evaluation language flexibly to stimulate students' desire for communication;teachers need to improve their professional quality and actively carry out teaching reflection. There are many deficiencies in this study. After participating in the primary school English class as an educator, researcher will continue this study and constantly improve the teaching strategies to cultivate students' intercultural communicative competence.
