With the introduction of sports and Health Curriculum Standards for ordinary senior high schools(2017 edition),during the implementation of sports special teaching reform in Shanghai,each pilot school carries out various sports special projects in combination with its own traditional sports projects,special teachers' specialties,site equipment conditions,students' interests and hobbies and other factors.As a school with basketball characteristics,the girls in Shanghai Nanyang Middle School lack of physical confrontation and can't play basketball,which requires corresponding changes in teaching.This study tries to apply the game teaching method in the teaching practice of high school girls' basketball special class,in order to analyze and verify whether the game teaching method can improve the basketball sports ability of high school girls to a certain extent,and provide a practical basis for better basketball teaching in the future.In this study,the literature method,observation method,interview method,experimental method,mathematical statistics method,the students of Shanghai Nanyang Middle School basketball girls special class as the experimental object,divided into experimental group 36 and control group 38.The experimental group carried out the intervention of competition teaching method,while the control group carried out the intervention of conventional teaching method.The teaching experiment lasted for 16 weeks,and the results are as follows:1.In terms of students' physical fitness indexes,there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in 4-minute rope skipping,standing long jump,50-meter running and one-minute sit-up.But there was no significant difference between the two groups before and after the experiment.2.In terms of the sports cognition indexes of students,the experimental group had significant differences in all middle groups,while the control group had significant differences except for the basic rules of basketball.There was no significant difference between the two groups in the development and origin indexes of basketball,but other items had significant differences between the two groups.3.In basketball skill index,there was significant difference between the two groups in one-minute shooting items.There was significant difference in the experimental group,but no significant difference in the control group.4.In sports display and competition indicators,the difference between the experimental group and the control group is significant.There was significant difference in the experimental group,but no significant difference in the control group.Therefore,the following conclusions are drawn:1.Competition teaching method can improve all aspects of physical fitness,but its promoting effect is equivalent to that of conventional teaching method.In terms of muscle strength,the competition method had a better effect.2.The competition teaching method improves the performance of sports cognition,and the overall performance is improved more than the conventional teaching method.3.Competition teaching method has a better effect on promoting skill scores.4.Competition teaching method is better for improving students' sports display and competition ability.
