With the promulgation of various documents by the State Council and the Ministry of Education,cooperative learning has become one of the classroom teaching methods valued and advocated by the state,and has gradually become one of the important topics of educational research.The use of cooperative learning is more common in various subject areas,but not in music.Thus,this study aims to investigate the pedagogical model of cooperative learning applied to the instructional design of middle school music courses,further investigate the effects of this pedagogical model on students' music learning effectiveness,music learning motivation,and cooperative attitudes tendencies,and finally combine the findings with suggestions for the integration of cooperative learning into the teaching of music courses in order to provide reference and reference for music educators.In this study,two random classes of seventh grade students in Wenzhou DSE Middle School were used as the cooperative learning group and the control group,and the cooperative learning teaching mode with the same curriculum knowledge and pace and the traditional teaching mode were used to teach the middle school music curriculum for two consecutive units of four lessons for one month.At the same time,pre-tests and post-tests were administered to students in both groups using a research instrument prepared by the researcher,“ the Music Learning Effectiveness and Motivation Measure ”,and post-tests were administered to the cooperative learning group using a research instrument prepared by the researcher,“the Questionnaire on the Use of Cooperative Learning in the Middle School Music Curriculum ”.After collecting the data,the data from the pre-test and post-test were analyzed by descriptive statistics and paired-samples t-test to compare multiple perspectives and to discover the differences in students' learning effectiveness and motivation,changes in cooperative learning attitude tendencies,and to draw conclusions.
