In October 2020,the General Offices of the CPC Central Committee and The State Council issued the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Physical Education in the New Era,emphasizing the coordinated development of young people's cultural learning and physical exercise,so as to help students enjoy fun,enhance their physical fitness,improve their personality and temper their will through physical exercise.Grade 5-6 pupils are in the early stage of puberty,which is the critical period of growth and the transition period of physical and mental development.Therefore,it will be more beneficial to the physical and mental health of teenagers to fully understand their motivation of learning physical education and to guide and educate them correctly.This paper adopts the method of literature,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics to study the motivation and influencing factors of physical education among grade 5-6 pupils in Liaocheng city,and the results show that:(1)The average level of PE learning motivation of students in grade 5-6 in Liaocheng is 4.78,which is higher than the median of 4 and generally above the average level.The degree of influence from high to low is internal motivation,external motivation and no motivation.The degree of influence of internal motivation is the greatest.(2)The PE learning motivation of grade 5-6 students in Liaocheng city is different in gender,grade and school.There are significant differences between male and female students in internal motivation level.In terms of learning motivation,the level of PE learning motivation in grade 5 was significantly higher than that in grade 6.In terms of external motivation,the level of external motivation in grade 5 is higher than that in grade 6,and the individual differences in grade 6 are more obvious.There was no significant difference between fifth and sixth grade in internal motivation and non-motivation.Students in different schools show different degrees of differences in the overall level of PE learning motivation,as well as the three dimensions of internal motivation,external motivation and no motivation.(3)There are many influencing factors of primary school students' PE learning motivation.Through the correlation analysis of individual level,school level,family level and society level,it can be found that school level has the greatest correlation with primary school students' PE learning motivation,followed by family level.According to the investigation of physical education motivation and influencing factors of grade 5-6 students in Liaocheng city,this paper puts forward strategies to promote the level of physical education motivation of primary school students:optimizing physical education curriculum based on school characteristics;Combined with the characteristics of students' motivation,pay attention to students' subjective perception;Perfect community sports facilities,beauty and harmony in school and outside school;With the help of "double reduction" policy,home school cooperative assistance.
