DMD is the core component of the DLP technology.It has been used in various fields such as military,industry,automobiles,and projection displays,etc.However,Texas Instruments of the United States has monopolized DMD and its driving technology for nearly 30 years.Our country started late in this technical field and lacks in-depth systematic research.In view of the current market demand and research status,this paper designs and implements the FPGA prototyping verification platform for the digital micromirror device driving circuit,studies the driving algorithm of the digital micromirror device,and realizes the 1920×1080 full HD resolution digital micromirror device driving circuit.At the same time,a projection system is built,and the system-level verification of the digital micromirror device driving circuit is finished.The FPGA prototyping verification platform is a 14-layer printed circuit board independently designed in this work,which includes 3056 electronic components,2063 signal netlists and 8974 signal connections.The platform uses the Xilinx's FPGA and So C as the core chips.The platform contains eight DDR4 SDRAM components,and the high-speed serial bus on the board has a maximum data transmission rate of10.3125 Gbps.Besides,the platform has totally 40 power supplies and 10 power supply voltages.The maximum current of the core supply is larger than 25 A.As for the hardware design,this work solves the system SI,PI and EMC issues through theoretical analysis and simulation.Based on the FPGA prototyping verification platform,the hardware logic and software program are also independently designed to realize the overall system function.The hardware logic design not only realizes the driving circuit of the full HD resolution digital micromirror device,but also supports the system-level verification of the driving circuit in the projection display system.The embedded software realizes the initial configuration of the system and the receiving,parsing and forwarding of control instructions.The computer software realizes the user interface of the platform.The FPGA prototyping verification platform designed in this work not only meets the verification requirements of the digital micromirror device driving circuit,but also supports the prototyping verification of other VLSI circuits.With the vigorous development of the domestic integrated circuit industry,the design and implementation of the FPGA prototyping verification platform for the digital micromirror device driving circuits have great strategic significance and market value.
