Reflection On Modern Information Ecology

The concept of “ecology” in information ecology is derived from ecology of biology.Information ecology is a research field formed by the intersecting of social information system science and natural ecology that the research foundation is the existence state formed under the interaction of various elements in information system.Introducing the concept of “ecology” into social information system is not only to study the actual state of development presented by the information system,but also to expand the basic theory of social information science as a tool or a kind of thinking.Furthermore,the inclusiveness,justice and development tension of the ecological world outlook,values and epistemology are reflected in the reflection of the social information system.Form the invention of language to the advent of the computer,and now the Internet has entered thousands of households,the change of information technology has brought about different degrees of changes in many areas of society.In modern society,new knowledge and cognition emerge in an endless stream.While the marriage of information and technology brings convenience to our life,it also causes chaos and imbalance in the information ecological environment,and even deviates from the original intention of social development.Throughout human history,society would dace its corresponding problems and dilemmas in any era.The generation of the characteristics of modern information society is the result of historical process,and the construction of a well-ordered and sustainable society is an important subject for the development of contemporary society.In this paper,the literature research method is adopted to collect and sort out the relevant literature of Marxist theory,Ecology,Information science,Sociology and its governance,and the interdisciplinary research method is used to combine the ecological theory with the development and characteristics of the social information field,and the unified method of history and logic is used.Dynamically comparing the features of the process that coevolution and coadaptation in social information development and overall social development,then make a summary at the macro level.Dialectical materialism and historical materialism are used to discuss the relationship between the past and the modern social information system and the social contradictions and dilemmas brought by the social information system.Based on the understanding of the above concepts,theories and methods,and combined with the characteristics and functions of social information ecology as well as its supposed state and actual representation,this paper reflects on the three aspects of information anomie,information injustice and information alienation in modern social information ecology.Finally,from the information resource allocation,information technology development,information quality education and other aspects,it puts forward the value choice of promoting the harmonious development of information ecology and the free and comprehensive development of human.
