With the advancement of 6G technology in various countries,terahertz wireless communication technology has attracted a lot of attentions and is regarded as a revolutionary method in wireless communication in the future.Due to its outstanding performance in achieving high-speed wireless data transmissions,it can be applied to a lot of high-speed communication scenarios.This thesis mainly studies and implements high-speed baseband signal processing by using FPGA,based on which this thesis realizes a terahertz point-to-point wireless communication system,whose data transmission rate achieves 20.8Gbps when the communication distance is 20 m.The main contributions of this thesis are summarized as follows.Firstly,by studying and analyzing the propagation and attenuation characteristics of terahertz wave in the atmosphere,with the operating carrier frequency varying from100 GHz to 350 GHz,we summarize the characteristics terahertz transmission channels.Combined with the key system performance design requirements,we select the carrier frequency operating at 220 GHz.Secondly,the whole terahertz wireless communication system architecture is designed,and the baseband signal processing procedure in physical layer based on OFDM system is given.Moreover,the 16-phase parallel baseband processing structure is designed,wherein the FPGA clock operates at 400 MHz.Thirdly,appropriate modulation technology and signal processing technology are selected.Meanwhile,the implementation principles and methods of key modules are given.Based on the above efforts,the overall data transmission link is established.Simulation results are given to verify the link performance of various physical layer algorithms.Fourth,according to the design requirements,the appropriate hardware implementation platform is selected,and a complete indoor wireless terahertz baseband transmission platform including the transceiver is established.Key system performance such as signal-to-noise ratio and bit error rate are then statistically analyzed.Results verify the feasibility of the overall design of the system.It shows that the baseband output signal is of 3GHz bandwidth,and when the bandwidth is 5.2GHz and the air interface rate achieves 20.8Gbps.
