Environmental Regulation,Technological Innovation And Enterprises Performance

As a coal enterprise in a resource-dependent industry,its high carbon emission problem cannot be ignored with the intensification of environmental pollution.In the process of pursuing economic benefits,coal enterprises in the new era must fully consider the impact of environmental regulations and technological innovation factors on coal enterprises.Domestic and foreign famous experts and scholars use technological innovation as a mediating variable to explore the literature among the three.At the same time,due to differences in research perspectives and index selection,the research results are different.Whether there is a mediating effect of technological innovation remains to be seen.Explore.Therefore,it is particularly important to study whether my country’s coal enterprises can improve the level of technological innovation by actively responding to environmental planning policies under the background of major strategic goals and tasks in the new era,and then drive business performance.This article takes the panel data of 23 A-share listed coal companies from 2011 to 2020 as the research sample,and comprehensively uses the methods of literature research,statistical analysis and regression analysis to deeply explore the relationship between environmental regulation,technological innovation of coal enterprises,and enterprise performance.The mechanism of action,mainly obtained the following research results:(1)By analyzing the research results of domestic and foreign scholars,the research hypothesis of the interaction mechanism among environmental regulation,technological innovation of coal enterprises and enterprise performance is put forward.The statistical analysis method and the sample data stationarity test method are used to carry out preliminary descriptive statistical analysis and data stationarity test on the research sample data respectively.And then the improvement of the level of technological innovation of enterprises drives the improvement of business performance,and technological innovation plays an intermediary role in the impact of environmental regulation on the performance of coal enterprises.(2)The research hypothesis is tested by the multiple linear regression analysis method,and the regression results show that the correlation coefficient between environmental regulation and the short-term business performance of coal enterprises is-0.117,and it is significant at the 5% level,indicating that environmental regulation has an inhibitory effect on the short-term performance of coal enterprises.The correlation coefficient between environmental regulation and the long-term business performance of coal enterprises is 0.435,and it is significant at the 1% level,indicating that environmental regulation has a significant role in promoting enterprise performance;the correlation coefficient between environmental regulation and the level of technological innovation of coal enterprises is 0.041,and in It is significant at the 1% level,indicating that the environmental regulation policy has a promoting effect on the improvement of the technological innovation level of coal enterprises,but the promoting effect is not sufficient.(3)With the aid of the mediation effect test and optimization method,it is verified that technological innovation plays a partial mediating role in the impact of environmental regulation on the performance of coal enterprises.As an intermediary variable between the two,technological innovation is realized through technological innovation in 5.62% of the time.(4)The influence of environmental regulation on the technological innovation level of coal enterprises in different regions is analyzed through the multiple linear regression analysis method.The study finds that the influence of environmental regulation on technological innovation in different regions has obvious differences.The promotion effect is significantly higher than that of the eastern region.The above research results have enriched the relevant research theories on the role of environmental regulation,technological innovation and enterprise performance.Finally,combined with the research conclusions of the article,corresponding policy suggestions are put forward from the national macro level,the enterprise micro level and the social auxiliary level,aiming at empirical analysis.The countermeasures are proposed to provide reference for the formulation and improvement of environmental regulations of relevant government departments,and have certain significance for coal enterprises to cope with environmental regulations and enhance their technological innovation capabilities.
