The frescoes of Fahai Temple in Beijing,as the representative of the Buddhist frescoes in Ming Dynasty,can be described as beautifully preserved and complete,and have extremely high artistic value.The murals were painted by palace painters and incorporated a large number of scenes of secular life.Some Buddhist figures presented secular figures and wore ornate jewelry,compared with other murals in Ming Dynasty,it has more strong value of decorative aesthetics.This article mainly studies the decoration beauty of the figures’ accessories in the frescoes of Fahai Temple,chooses the secular jewelry in the frescoes of Fahai Temple,and sorts out the categories of the secular jewelry in the frescoes,compared with the frescoes of Pilu Temple in Hebei Province,the frescoes of Sichuan Bao’en Temple and the frescoes of Gwaneumsa in Xinjin in the Ming Dynasty,it is found that the secular jewelry in the frescoes of Fahai temple is more representative of the aesthetics of the general public in the Ming Dynasty,at the same time,it has unique decorative beauty and is influenced by the religious policy and aesthetic culture of the Ming Dynasty.From four aspects of color,structure,composition and implication,the decorative beauty of secular jewelry in the frescoes of Fahai temple is deeply analyzed,and combined with the case of jewelry further elaborated how to reflect its decorative beauty in modern jewelry design,in the work of showing the combination of beaded jewelry design practice and thinking.
