Directional moisture-transfer material,which can actively transfer sweat from the surface of the skin to body outside through the fabric in the process of sweating,and accelerate the evaporation to lower the surface of the skin temperature,has been widely used in sportswear,uniforms,health/elderly care and protective clothing.However,the traditional hygroscopicity,perspiration and antifouling finishing has the following disadvantages: first,the preparation process is complex,the cost is high,and there is a large amount of sewage and pollutants(containing fluorine compounds);second,the combination between hydrophobic coating and fabric is not firm after cotton fabric hydrophobic finishing,resulting in a short service cycle.Although there is a certain antifouling self-cleaning,the overall antifouling performance is poor and easy to breed bacteria.Therefore,the paper will use atmospheric air plasma technology and fluorinefree hydrophobic,two cleaner production technologies,for single guide wet anti-fouling processing of wearable cotton fabric,wet plasma pretreatment to give the durability of textile functional finishing.In the paper,the porous moisture conduction channel with gradient wettability was created on the thickness direction of polyester cotton fabric,through superhydrophobic finishing and selective plasma etching fabric,to prepare the moisture conduction and antipollution fabric.In the hydrophobicity study,the contact angle,surface microstructure and chemical structure of the fabric were measured under different concentrations of solution.In directional moisture-transfer study,liquid water penetration,moisture permeability and hydrostatic pressure resistance were tested.The hydrophobicity study showed that the contact angle,treated by wet plasma,was as high as 156°.Meanwhile,Scanning electron microscope illustrated that a hydrophobic film was uniformly attached to the surface of the treated fabric.The further study,the XPS showed that the C-C/C-H bond increased about 53.23% on the superhydrophobic surface,and the hydrophilic group decreased nearly 61.48%,that is,the use efficiency of hydrophobic agent was significantly improved.And the process reduces the use of fluorine-free hydrophobic agent by nearly 30%.About directional moisture-transfer,the study shows that the hydrophobic layer on the surface of the hydrophobic fabric was destroyed by plasma etching,so that the wettability gradient is formed in the thickness direction of the fabric.Then the hydrostatic pressure test results were consistent with the former.And on this basis,the liquid penetration time only needs 3 s on the premise of no osmosis,and the liquid water can still be rapidly exported under the anti-gravity condition,the fabric can repel the external liquid pollutants similarly.Superhydrophobic finishing and plasma etching treatment have no adverse effect on the permeability of fabric.In addition,the contact angle remains at about 145° after 25 cycles of washing,indicating that the prepared moisture conduction fabric has good durability.Considering the practical performance of textiles,wear resistance and mechanical properties were tested.The results show that the finishing process has only slight effect on the wear resistance and mechanical properties of the fabric.No matter hydrophobic finishing or plasma treatment,they are clean and pollution-free.Therefore,this paper provides a green,environmental protection and high efficiency of the preparation process of skin-like cotton fabric.
