In order to solve the problem of short service life of asphalt pavement sealant in hot and humid area,and problem of poor performance of pavement sealant,this study developed two kinds of high performance asphalt pavement sealant with 5℃ ductility,softening point,coning degree,elastic recovery and flow value as the main indexes and carried out related performance research by data analysis and orthogonal experiment.First of all,this research investigated the cracking forms,treatment methods and failure forms of sealant for expressway asphalt pavement in hot and humid areas by referring to literature and field investigation,and analyzed the causes of various failure forms.It is determined that the high performance sealant for asphalt pavement in hot and humid area should have the characteristics of low temperature fluidity under high temperature,high crack resistance and excellent anti-aging property.After that,SBS polymer,waste rubber powder,bio-oil,sulfur and C9 petroleum resin were selected as the components of high performance sealant for asphalt pavement in hot and humid areas.Through orthogonal test,the optimal mixture ratio of Normal temperature sealant and High temperature sealant was determined:high temperature sealant:SBS:8%;Rubber powder:14%;Bio-oil 3%;Sulfur:0.2%;General type:SBS:6%;Rubber powder:14%;Bio-oil 12%;Sulfur:0.2%.The softening point of the two kinds of sealant is higher than relevant industry standard 8 ℃~10℃,the coning degree is lower than 20%~40%of the maximum limit of the relevant standard,the extension under 5℃greater than 30cm,and the elastic recovery rate is close to the middle value of the standard range.Brinell viscosity test,segregation test,freeze-thaw cycle pull test and aging test were carried out on the two kinds of sealant developed.The results show that the reasonable construction temperature of the two kinds of high-performance sealant is 180℃,and both of them have excellent storage stability,water stability and anti-aging performance.Finally,scanning electron microscopy,INFRARED spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry were performed on the two kinds of high performance sealant.Results show that the main characteristics of functional groups in biological oil ester groups and hydroxyl groups did not occur in the process of modification of structure change,biological oil and asphalt material has good compatibility,can effectively supplement the SBS and the absorption process of the powder swelling of lightweight components,make its surface smooth,two kinds of filling glue under the condition of high temperature has good high temperature stability.
