Research On The Impact Of S Enterprise’s Environmental Responsibility Fulfillment On Enterprise Performance

As the main responsible person for social development,the negative external utility of economic activities of enterprises brings great damage to social resources and environment.Since September 2020,General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly proposed that China will strive to achieve carbon peaking by 2030 and work towards carbon neutrality by 2060.In the context of low-carbon production and lifestyle,more and more companies are fulfilling their environmental responsibility to improve their corporate image and competitiveness.However,the fulfillment of environmental responsibility also inevitably increases the cost of environmental protection,and balancing the relationship between the fulfillment of environmental responsibility and corporate performance has become an urgent issue for enterprises.This paper selects S enterprises in the heavily polluting foundry industry as the research object,based on stakeholder theory,sustainable development theory,environmental resource value theory and performance evaluation theory,and analyzes the influence of corporate environmental responsibility fulfillment on corporate performance theoretically by reading the literature and adding green innovation as a mediating variable.By distributing questionnaires to the employees of enterprise S,434 valid questionnaires were finally obtained through screening as the data base.With the help of SPSS,AMOS and other related software,a structural equation model was developed to test the theoretical model empirically,and the following conclusions were drawn:S corporate environmental responsibility fulfillment has a direct positive impact on corporate performance;and it can also have a positive impact on corporate performance indirectly through the mediating variable of green innovation;the impact of corporate environmental responsibility fulfillment on corporate non-financial performance is higher than the impact on corporate financial performance.Based on the empirical test data combined with the research understanding of S enterprises,it is proposed that the fulfillment of environmental responsibility of S enterprises has a small impact on corporate financial performance,the environmental management system of S enterprises is not perfect,the magnitude of the impact of green production on corporate performance is larger and green innovation has a significant positive impact on corporate performance.Finally,based on the research findings and problematic findings,management recommendations are proposed for enterprise S to continue to adhere to its environmental responsibility,improve its environmental management system,improve its green production level and increase its green innovation investment,in the hope that the impact of environmental responsibility fulfillment on enterprise performance of enterprise S can be strengthened.And at the end,the shortcomings of this paper’s research are pointed out.
