As the first major industrial industry,materials,together with energy and information,are the three pillars of modern high technology and have a profound impact on the national economy.Graphene is a new type of carbon nanomaterial that is highly valued and has great potential nowadays,and its industrial technology innovation capability and industrialization and scale level have long become an important symbol to measure a country’s economic development,scientific and technological progress and national defense strength.However,today’s materials field suffers from the problems of isolated information,large data scale and limited data accessibility.Although Southwest China is an advantageous region for the development of graphene materials,there is still a large gap between it and the developed regions of graphene materials such as Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta.Researchers in this field need to spend high costs if they want to have a comprehensive understanding of the current situation,development trends,and development bottlenecks in the materials field.The incomplete understanding of the development situation by researchers,government agencies,and enterprises is an important reason for the slow progress of research on various new materials.In this context,this thesis investigates the development trend of graphene materials in southwest China from the perspective of patents,in order to provide theoretical support for the scientific and technological innovation and development of graphene materials in the region,provide reference for government policy formulation,and promote the rational allocation of resources.This thesis selects the patent data in inco Pat database as the data source,combines literature research,patent analysis,social network,LDA topic clustering and other theories,firstly,the macro analysis of domestic graphene materialfrom the aspects of patent life cycle,legal status,patent applicants,and regional distribution of patent applications;secondly,the comparative analysis methodis used to compare domestic graphene materials from the above-mentioned perspectives and technical composition with graphene materials in Southwest Chinain the same period.Secondly,we compare the domestic graphene materials wi-th the graphene materials patents in the southwest region in the same period by using comparative analysis method,and find the differences and connections between the two,and also analyze the trend of patent legal status and applicant type according to the life cycle in stages,so as to clarify the development status of graphene materials in the southwest region initially;again,we build a social network according to the mutual citation relationship between patents,the cooperation relationship between patent applicants and inventors,find the cooperation relationship between subjects,and find the important nodes in the network.At the same time,word frequency statistics were conducted on the patent abstracts to find the high-frequency technical terms involved in the patents in different periods,and then a meso-level analysis of graphene materials in Southwest China was conducted to obtain the evolution trend of research hotspots;finally,LDA was used to extract topics,and after determining the optimal number of topics according to the confusion degree,a text analysis of patent abstracts was conducted to deeply explore the four research hotspots of graphene materials in Southwest China.Finally,the four research hotspots of graphene materials in the southwest region were analyzed by using LDA to determine the best number of topics based on the confusion degree.The results show that the patent life cycle of graphene materials in the southwest is in a fluctuating exploration stage;the quality of patent applications is not high,among the southwest,Sichuan and Chongqing are relatively hot,while Guizhou,Yunnan,and Tibet have a low percentage of patents,especially Tibet is obviously lagging behind;the types of applicants are mainly enterprises and universities and colleges,the main inventors cooperate closely with each other,but the applicants have less cooperation before,the research topics There are changes,from the initial battery energy storage field to composite materials and then gradually expanded to the field of heat dissipation,coating,etc.,and the application fields of innovation are gradually expanded;further research on the main research hotspots in the region found that they are mainly reflected in four fields,namely,composite materials,coating,energy storage field and heat dissipation field.The article concludes with suggestions to increase efforts to break through technical bottlenecks,maintain the heat of superior technological innovation,strengthen cooperation,and keep up with domestic and international technological innovation hotspots.
