Guqin Table And Stool Design Based On Mortise And Tenon Structure

With the development of large-scale mechanized production and transportation,the traditional mortise and tenon structure cannot meet the requirements of mechanized processing.The guqin table and stool are designed for playing the qin,and most of them have traditional mortise and tenon structure in their structure.In this paper,we explore the combination of mortise and tenon structure and guqin table and stool,using the characteristics of mortise and tenon for structural innovation,and considering the characteristics of guqin and playing needs for the overall design.It realizes disassembly,easy to move,carry and flatten packaging,and significantly reduces furniture production and transportation costs.The article compares three types of combination:face-to-face joining of mortise and tenon structure,point structure joining,and combination joining of components,and analyzes the application of mortise and tenon in modern furniture,mainly using the dismantling,decorative,and cultural characteristics of mortise and tenon for design.The classical guqin table and stool have their own characteristics in terms of material selection,shape,function and structure:the materials selected are masonry,hardwood and other materials suitable for conducting the sound of the instrument;the shape is simple and less decorative,and the height of the guqin table is shorter than the general table,the table top is more slender,and the guqin stool with it is higher;the function can coordinate the stability of the body of the player and conduct the sound of the instrument;the structure is chosen from the traditional mortise and tenon structure,which has a solid structure and scientific design.The main use of the table and stool mortise and tenon are:save the edge of the slotted plate,chuck tenon,shoulder tenon and so on.The modern guqin table and stool on the market have few innovative structural designs,which do not reflect the decorative beauty and disassembled structural features of traditional mortise and tenon structure.In the design practice of guqin table and stool,the design elements are extracted from the shape,structure,decorative elements and color pattern of the guqin,and the tenons and mortises that are popular among users of the guqin are selected:the mortise,the dovetail and the pins for the detachable design;the playing requirements of the guqin are analyzed,including the position of the guqin near people and the habit of people to sit on the head side of the instrument.In this study,the disassembly of the table and stool is designed in the form of "parts and pieces",which can reduce the number of parts and make it easier for users to disassemble and reduce the weight.In the design of the legs of the guqin table and the guqin stool,the legs and the longitudinal cross brace are fixed together in a two-by-two group,which makes the structure of the product more stable and the parts more concise.The piano stool combines mortise and tenon construction with hardware connections to ensure structural stability,while simplifying the design so that it can be adapted to the guqin table.Based on the mortise and tenon structure,the overall disassembled guqin table and stool was designed based on the characteristics of the guqin and its playing needs,and the table and stool made with the mortise and tenon structure won the competition after being rated by luthiers,experts and graduate students.The final proposal was analyzed in terms of technology and technique,and the finished product was evaluated and analyzed,and was recognized by many parties.The exposed mortise and tenon structure of this set of guqin table and stool is stable and highly decorative,and the overall shape of the table and stool is beautiful,easy to disassemble,practical and adaptable to modern production mode.This study can provide a sample for the design of modern guqin table and stool,a new idea for the application of mortise and tenon structure in solid wood table and stool furniture,and an important reference for the design of other solid wood furniture that can be disassembled.
