Low-carbon agriculture is the realization form of low-carbon economy in the field of agriculture, and pig breeding is an important source of carbon emission in the field of agriculture.Low-carbon breeding is an inevitable choice for developing low-carbon agriculture and an inevitable requirement to adapt to the development of the times, and it is imperative to promote low-carbon breeding.Changde Area,as an important pig breeding area in China,is facing huge pressure of greenhouse gas emission reduction,so it is of great practical significance to promote the low-carbon development of pig breeding in Changde Area.To this end, this thesis intends to investigate the factors influencing farmers’ implementation of low-carbon breeding behavior. This paper first conducts a literature study on low-carbon pig farming at home and abroad.Secondly, based on existing research results, summarize the core concepts and relevant theoretical foundations involved in this paper’s research. And introduced the current situation of pig farming in Changde Area.Next,a theoretical analysis is conducted on the influencing factors of the aquaculture behavior of farmers.Livelihood endowment is the main factor affecting the low-carbon aquaculture behavior of farmers, and environmental awareness is also an important influencing factor.Policy regulations have a significant regulatory effect on the implementation of low-carbon aquaculture behavior by farmers. For this reason, based on the theoretical paradigm of "endowment cognition behavior",the paper puts forward research hypotheses and constructs a mechanism model that affects the low-carbon breeding behavior of farmers, that is,the model of Moderate mediation effect. Then we designed a questionnaire on the lowcarbon breeding behavior of pig farmers, and made a Likert scale for livelihood endowment, environmental awareness, policy regulation,low-carbon breeding behavior and other variables. Finally,an offline questionnaire survey was conducted in 8 districts and counties of Changde Area, and a total of 386 valid questionnaires were obtained. The paper utilizes SPSS software and J-N macro analysis technology to estimate model parameters and empirically validate the constructed theoretical model. The study found that:(1)farmers’ livelihood endowment has a significant effect on both their environmental cognition and breeding behavior;(2)Environmental cognition plays a mediating role in the relationship between livelihood endowment and breeding behavior:(3)policy regulation not only regulates the relationship between livelihood endowment and breeding behavior, but also regulates the mediating effect of environmental cognition.Based on the above analysis, the paper to accelerate the process of low-carbon of pig breeding in Changde area:firstly,to improve the livelihood endowment of pig farmers;secondly,to improve the environmental cognition of pig farmers;thirdly,to strengthen education and training for farmers on low-carbon of breeding;fourthly,to strengthen policy guidance for farmers on low-carbon of breeding.Based on the above analysis, the paper concludes with policy recommendations to accelerate the low-carbon process of pig breeding in Changde area:The first is to improve the livelihood endowment of pig farmers; The second is to improve the environmental awareness of pig farmers is necessary; The third is to strengthen the education and training of low-carbon breeding for farmers; The fourth is to strengthen the policy guidance for low-carbon breeding of farmers.
