Research On The Design And Application Of Module And Tenon Structure In Children’s Toys

With a history of more than 5000 years,China is a country with profound cultural traditions.The history of Chinese traditional toys is also very long,carrying China’s excellent traditional culture.China’s social economy is developing rapidly and its comprehensive national strength is becoming stronger and stronger.Many excellent traditional cultures in China have also been spread all over the world through various communication channels and are deeply loved by the majority of people.Mortise and tenon structure,as an excellent traditional culture in China,is applied to architecture,furniture and so on.The reason why Ming and Qing furniture has been praised by later generations is because of the tenon and mortise structure,which is also the soul.The modernization of mortise and tenon structure should also be studied constantly.This topic is to carry out modular innovative design of mortise and tenon toys,which can not only be used as the inheritance and dissemination of excellent traditional culture,but also allow children to learn while playing.In the second chapter,through the analysis of the origin and development process of mortise and tenon,we can better grasp its essence.Secondly,the mortise and tenon structure is studied,its structure and characteristics are analyzed,and it is also classified.At the same time,the modular analysis of mortise and tenon structure is carried out,and the difficulty degree of mortise and tenon structure is classified according to the splitting and combination time,module quantity and quality,and satisfaction score.It provides the basis for module selection for the subsequent modular mortise and tenon toy design.The third chapter collects,arranges and analyzes the mortise and tenon toys and module toys,summarizes the characteristics of mortise and tenon toys,and arranges and classifies the problems existing in mortise and tenon toys according to the investigation.At the same time,the essential characteristics of modular toys are analyzed,so as to provide some ideas for the design of modular mortise and tenon toys.Through user research,the research object is determined to be children aged 7-11,and the cognitive development and living environment of users are analyzed.Through the collection,analysis and summary of the questionnaire,we understand the factors that parents give priority to when buying children’s toys and which toys they prefer and some problems that children will notice when using toys.Finally,we summarize these factors to determine the direction and method of design and carry out design practice.Through modular design,combined with the concave convex bite connection of Chinese mortise and tenon structure,inject new soul into the new mortise and tenon structure,and modular design new mortise and tenon children’s toys,so that Chinese children can play with toys belonging to Chinese people’s own excellent traditional culture.
