As the "kidneys of the earth",wetlands are an important medium for water conservation,but with the continuous urbanization process,the high-density construction of cities has broken the original wetland structure,resulting in the destruction of the ecological environment and frequent occurrence of urban flooding.This paper uses the functional wetland theory as the main guide,and proposes the urgency and feasibility of constructing Small and micro wetlands on Xiamen Island by analysing the topography of the island,the current situation of urban flooding,the distribution of wetlands,the existing state of wetlands and the hydrological evolution of historical wetlands.The construction of urban micro-wetlands is mainly based on two levels:overall structure and partial composition.The ecological network of micro-wetlands as a whole and the strengthening of individual micro-wetlands work in tandem to enhance the ecological habitat of urban wetlands.The ecological network is constructed at the overall structural level for the overall urban catchment area.By analysing the watershed runoff catchment,extracting the blue and green ecological genes of the island,and combining flooding points,historical wetland relics and planning objectives,the ecological structure of small micro-wetlands and the ecological factor network structure are constructed.It also concludes that the ecological network of small micro-wetlands should follow four principles: ecological structure first,coupling of planning structure and ecological structure,gradual advancement of ecological zones to urban construction areas,and ecological watershed group construction.At the level of partial composition,the construction of small micro-wetland units has been intensified.The three main aspects are ecological elements,general layout and spatial structure.Firstly,micro-wetlands are classified into three categories according to their ecological habitat attributes: ecological,mock-ecological and pressurised.Secondly,after analysis and research,it is concluded that the ecological habitat attributes of ecological micro-wetlands are good,and there is no urgent need for improvement;the ecological functions of ecological mimic micro-wetlands are weak,and the ecological attributes should be optimised by focusing on strengthening ecological elements;the ecological space of oppressive micro-wetlands is scarce,and the overall layout and spatial structure should be improved to restore the space of place.Finally,typical mock-ecological and pressure-type micro-wetlands are selected for enhanced constructive design.
