| The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasized accelerating the green transformation of development mode,implementing a comprehensive conservation strategy,developing green and low-carbon industries,advocating green consumption,and promoting the formation of green and low-carbon production methods and lifestyles.With the rapid development of motorization,the number of urban motor vehicles in China has reached a new high,from 78 million in2010 to 415 million by the end of 2022,and the number of motor vehicles is increasing,providing convenience for residents to travel,but also causing negative effects such as traffic congestion,air pollution,and energy waste.The introduction of motor vehicle restriction policies has become an important means to alleviate current traffic congestion and air pollution.Based on this,this paper puts forward the following research questions: What is the acceptance intention of Taiyuan residents for low-carbon travel under the driving restriction policy? What are the influencing factors affecting residents’ low-carbon export? How to increase the acceptance intention of current residents for low-carbon travel?Based on the relevant literature at home and abroad,this study sorted out the relevant concepts such as driving restriction policy,low-carbon travel,and acceptance intention,and constructed a theoretical analysis framework including low-carbon travel attitude,perceived ease of use,subjective norms,perceived usefulness,four influencing factor variables,and low-carbon travel willingness as the interpreted variable.Combined with the traffic development of Taiyuan City and the intention to accept low-carbon travel,a measurement scale of factors affecting the willingness of residents in Taiyuan to travel with low-carbon travel under the driving restriction policy was designed.By collecting the questionnaire survey data of 295 respondents in Taiyuan City,an empirical study was carried out on the acceptance intention of Taiyuan residents for low-carbon travel under the driving restriction policy.Secondly,a theoretical model of the acceptance intention of residents in Taiyuan City for low-carbon travel under the driving restriction policy is constructed,and a research hypothesis is proposed.Finally,empirical analysis is carried out on the research hypothesis,and countermeasures are proposed.The empirical analysis results show that:(1)At present,urban residents’ willingness to low-carbon travel is not strong,indicating the necessity of taking measures to improve urban residents’ willingness to travel green.(2)Among the influencing factors,three variables,low-carbon travel attitude,perceived ease of use,and subjective norms,had a significant positive impact on urban residents’ willingness to low-carbon travel,reflecting that the establishment and improvement of low-carbon traffic laws and regulations,the improvement of public transportation system and supporting construction,the creation of a good social atmosphere for low-carbon travel,and the improvement of urban residents’ awareness of low-carbon travel have an impact on low-carbon travel intention.(3)Among the demographic variables,gender,income,education level,and private car ownership showed significant differences in urban residents’ low-carbon travel intentions.Finally,based on the empirical research conclusions,countermeasures and suggestions to improve the low-carbon travel intention of Taiyuan residents under the driving restriction policy are proposed. |
