With the rapid development of social economy and the increasingly obvious ecological environment problems,the study of ecosystem service functions can help people understand the status of ecosystems more comprehensively and intuitively,so as to adopt more reasonable solutions to manage the ecological environment.In order to understand the ecosystem status of Hubei Province,four ecosystem service functions that have a great impact on human production and life,such as carbon storage,water output,habitat quality,and soil contention,were selected for study,which urgently need to provide reference for the development of the ecological environment in the region.Based on the land use status in Hubei Province in 1990,2000,2010 and 2020,this study first compares and analyzes the transfer changes of land use types in Hubei Province in the past 30 years,and then analyzes the temporal and spatial changes of the four service functions through the InVEST model.Based on this analysis,the comprehensive functional area of ecosystem services in Hubei Province was obtained by further using AcrGIS software.In addition,SPSS software was used to analyze the relationship between various service functions.The results of the study are as follows:(1)Analysis of the spatiotemporal changes of land use in Hubei Province from 1990 to2020 shows that the type of land use with the smallest change is unused land,and the type of land use with the largest change is construction land and cultivated land.From the perspective of spatial distribution,the cultivated land in the southeast decreased more,the reduction area of forest land was in the southwest,the grassland reduction area was located in the western region,the water area in the southern region increased,and the area of construction land increased and the cultivated land area decreased showed greater consistency.(2)The changes of the four ecosystem service functions in Hubei Province from 1990 to 2020 were as follows: in terms of carbon storage,from the perspective of time series,carbon storage showed a trend of decreasing year by year,from the perspective of spatial distribution,carbon storage in the western region was higher than that in the eastern region,and the strength of carbon storage service functions of different land use types was as follows: forest land> arable land> grassland> water area> construction land > unused land;In terms of water production,from the perspective of time series,water production showed a gradual increase trend,from the perspective of spatial distribution,the water production in the southeast region was higher than that in the northwest region,and the water production service functions of different land use types were: cultivated land> forest land> grassland> construction land> unused land > waters;In terms of soil conservation,from the perspective of time series,soil conservation showed an increasing trend,from the perspective of spatial distribution,the soil conservation in the western region was significantly higher than that in the eastern region,and the strength of soil conservation service functions of different land use types was: forest land> arable land> grassland> water area> construction land > unused land.In terms of habitat quality,from the perspective of time series,the habitat quality index showed a downward trend,from the perspective of spatial distribution,the habitat quality in the western region was significantly better than that in the eastern region,and the strength of the habitat quality service function of different land use types was: forest land> water> grassland> cultivated land> unused land > Construction land.(3)After integrating the four ecosystem service functions,the comprehensive ecosystem function area was obtained,the first level area was extremely important area,the second level area was an important area,the third level area was a general important area,and the fourth level was a general area,and the area occupied by them was 25.72%,29.08%,27.93% and 17.27%,respectively.(4)After using AcrGIS software to generate 1693 random points,using SPSS software for Person correlation analysis,the correlation between the four service functions can be obtained,according to the trade-off relationship between water production and other three service functions,it can be seen that when carrying out ecological planning and management,it is necessary to consider the reduction effect on other service functions while increasing the function of regional water production service.(5)Through the above analysis,the study combined with the actual situation of Hubei Province,put forward corresponding ecological restoration suggestions: such as strengthening the monitoring of carbon stocks and improving the public’s awareness of ecological protection;Rationally adjust land types and optimize the quality of forestland,grassland and cultivated land;Innovate ecological management technology to achieve efficient use of resources;Strengthen the protection of water and soil resources,and strengthen regional ecological compensation mechanisms.
