| The global environmental crisis has prompted people to rethink the relationship between man and nature.After the collapse of the Bangladesh’s garment factories in 2013,more than1000 people died,the problems of employee welfare,environmental ethics,animal rights and excessive consumption of resources in the fashion industry aroused people’s attention to ethical fashion.The production process and use of animal fashion products have caused greenhouse gas effect,biodiversity loss and animal welfare loss,posing a serious threat to the survival of the earth and species.In order to solve these problems,the fashion industry began to seek environmentally responsible and animal friendly design strategies.Cruelty-free fashion has emerged as one of the new trends of sustainability.It originated from the fact that cosmetics opposed animal experiments and tests,and then infiltrated into the fashion industry.It was defined as a fashion ethical design that did no harm to animals and minimized the negative impact on the ecological environment.Stakeholders in the fashion supply chain have joined the campaign to try to change the traditional production mode without harming animals and the environment.At present,researchers in the fashion industry mainly focus on the innovation of materials,and have not completed a systematic approach to the overall design,which is difficult to meet the growing emotional needs of consumers.This topic aims to explore the research on cruelty-free fashion emotional clothing design through the point of cruelty-free and clothing emotion.Through literature search,case analysis and interdisciplinary research,the structure of animal products in the fashion industry and the ethical issues it brings are discovered.Based on the guidance of emotional design theory,this paper explores the principles and methods of emotional fashion design to achieve cruelty-free fashion from the perspective of design,enhances emotional education and cognition,reduces the use of animal materials,and alleviates the pollution and controversy caused by animal slaughter in modern fashion industry.Firstly,the article analyzes the structure and ethical issues of animal products in the fashion industry.By exploring the category,process and purposive construction of animal fashion products,this paper summarized a series of problems that animal fashion products bring to human beings,animals and the environment.And discussing whether there is a moral way to fashion design based on animals.Secondly,it expounds the meaning,development and purpose of cruelty-free fashion through the existing literature.At the same time,it summarizes the types of human emotions and emotional design theory.Combined with Norman’s theory of emotional design,this paper analyzes cruelty-free clothing design from the emotional level,and analyzes the emotional performance of cruelty-free clothing design through brand cases.On this basis,it is found that the combination of cruelty-free clothing and emotion can create a design space that meets human emotional needs and understands life.According to the previous research,the emotional fashion design system for cruelty-free fashion is preliminarily established.It summarizes three principles: animal empathy as the core,ecological protection as the basic,safety and innovation as the path.And,the realization method of cruelty-free clothing design is put forward,which is based on emotional experience,artistic vision,alternative material selection and cultural connotation,so as to arouse people’s attention to reduce the impact of carbon emissions and protect species diversity.Finally,through design practice,the research theory will be transformed into practical achievements to verify the feasibility of methods,further promoting the cruelty-free fashion design.To satisfy the growing spiritual needs of people,it is required to re-examine fashion and treat animals kindly.In this way,we can better implement the spirit of the 20 th CPC National Congress and the strategic deployment of carbon peaking and carbon neutralization,adhere to the concept that green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains,and promote the green development of the ecological environment from the perspective of harmonious coexistence between human and nature. |
