Aluminum oxide fiber has excellent fire resistance and flame retardancy,making it a new type of flame retardant and thermal insulation material with broad application prospects and commercial value.Aluminum oxide filaments are prone to brittle fracture in the shear direction and cannot be directly processed for weaving.At present,there is little research on how to weave and shape alumina filaments in China,and it is difficult to process and produce alumina textiles on a large scale.This article develops a scheme for weaving aluminum oxide filament woven fabric: wrapping aluminum oxide filament with polyethylene filament to prepare coated yarn to avoid brittle fracture of aluminum oxide filament,which can be fully woven and formed.Finally,the fabric is burned to remove the outer polyethylene,resulting in pure aluminum oxide filament woven fabric.The main research of this article is as follows:Firstly,the basic properties of alumina filament were tested,and the actual linear density was obtained to be 98 tex;The moisture regain is 0.37%;The fracture strength is 17.2c N/tex;The elongation at break is 1.1%;The number of broken torsion is 298 revolutions/50cm;The dynamic friction coefficient is 0.28 μ;The shear force is 32 g,and the "shear force" performance index and testing method are independently designed in this article,representing the strength of filament or yarn to break in the shear direction.When directly weaving alumina filament,it was found that during weaving movements such as opening,the warp thread would collide and cut with the heald eye and reed teeth,resulting in fracture and inability to weave.When the wrapping twist of alumina/polyethylene coated yarn is greater than 400 twists/m and the fineness of polyethylene filament is greater than 50 D,it can be smoothly woven and formed,and the fabric is intact and undamaged.Afterwards,experiments were conducted to prepare single-layer and double-layer coated yarns with different wrapping twist,wrapping fiber fineness,and tension draft ratio.The inner and outer layers of the double-layer coated yarn had opposite wrapping twist directions and were wrapped in an X-shaped shape,with a more compact structure than the single-layer coated yarn.The strength and elongation,shear force,peel resistance,dynamic friction coefficient,and breaking torque of each coated yarn were tested.The results show that as the wrapping twist or fiber fineness of single and double layer wrapped yarns increase,the breaking strength,shear force,and peel resistance increase;The number of fracture torsion first increases and then slightly decreases;The elongation at break and dynamic friction coefficient have almost no changes.As the tension and draft ratio of single and double layer coated yarns increase,the breaking strength and shear force slightly decrease,while other properties have no significant changes.The optimal spinning process plan for preparing single-layer and double-layer coated yarns was obtained through orthogonal experiments.The optimal plan for single-layer wrapped yarn is to have a wrap twist of 500 twist/m,wrap fiber fineness of 60 D,and winding speed ratio of 1%.The optimal plan for double-layer wrapped yarn is to have a wrap twist of 500 twist/m,wrap fiber fineness of 60 D,and winding speed ratio of 1.05%.The primary and secondary order of factors affecting the shear force and peel resistance of single and double layer coated yarns is:wrapped twist>wrapped fiber fineness>winding speed ratio.Using different reed numbers to weave the wrapped yarn,the results show that when the reed number is greater than the English 54 number,the fabric structure is tight and there are no gaps between the warp and weft yarns.The wrapped yarn was woven using three types of fabric structures: plain weave,3/1 right twill,and 2/2 square weave.The results showed that the fabric structure of the 2/2 square weave was the most compact.Through calculation,it is found that the warp and weft density of the fabric after combustion are slightly smaller than before;The weight of the fabric obtained through testing is 247g/m2;The thickness is 0.852mm;Finally,a vertical combustion experiment was conducted on the fabric,and the results showed that the fabric did not experience any combustion,and there were no deformation or softening phenomena.Indicating its excellent flame retardant and high-temperature resistance performance...
