| Water-based ink is an economical and environmentally friendly printing ink made from water-based resin connectors, pigments, and additives using water as a solvent. It is mainly used in fields such as food packaging printing, film surface printing, plastic screen printing, and water-based metal paint.Fluorescent anti-counterfeiting ink is widely used in industries such as document information, currency circulation, and medical testing due to its unique photochromic effect, which has a significant impact on national security and development. At present, waterborne polyurethane vehicles have shortcomings in adhesion, water resistance, and other aspects in the water-based ink industry. In order to meet the performance requirements of the product,a series of modifications are carried out on waterborne polyurethane in this article, resulting in the preparation of a water-based ink vehicle through molecular structure design.A series of waterborne polyurethane(WPU)were prepared by selecting poly(1,4-butylene adipate)diol(PBA)as the soft chain segment and isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI)as the hard chain segment. The effect of the R-value on the properties of WPU was investigated.Research had found that as the R-value increases, the adhesion performance, mechanical properties, and water resistance of the adhesive film are greatly improved. On this basis, the effect of the content of 2-[(2-aminoethyl)amino]ethanesulfonic acid sodium salt(AAS)on the performance of WPU was investigated. As the AAS content increases, the particle size of the emulsion gradually increased and the surface tension decreased. The adhesion, tensile, hydrophobicity, water resistance, and thermal properties of the film had all been improved. When the AAS content was 1.0%,the comprehensive performance of WPU was the best.In order to further improve the adhesion between waterborne polyurethane and the surface of the substrate,WPU emulsions were prepared by introducing glycerol monolaurate(GML).The effect of GML content on the properties of emulsions and films was investigated. The research found that the addition of GML improved the adhesion, mechanical properties, hydrophobicity, and water resistance of WPU film. When the GML content was 4.65%,the T-peel strength of the adhesive film was 13.8 N/mm,the adhesion was 3.53 MPa,the tensile strength was 63.7 MPa,the contact angle was 85.6°,and the water absorption rate was 13.39%.Due to the unique molecular structure of the silane coupling agent, the water resistance and adhesion of the WPU film could be improved simultaneously.A series of siloxane-modified water-based ink vehicles were prepared using a silane coupling agent(KH-550),and the effect of KH-550 content on the performance of water-based ink vehicles was investigated. The research found that with the increase of KH-550 content, the hydrophobicity and water resistance of the film were enhanced, and the glass transition temperature shifted toward a high temperature. When the content of KH-550 was 3.0%,the adhesive film had the best adhesion performance, the T-peel strength was 14.92 N/mm,and the adhesion was 3.86 MPa.On this basis,a series of water-based fluorescent inks were prepared using fluorescein(FL),and the effect of FL content on their properties was explored. The research found that with the increase of FL content, the fluorescence effect of the ink was enhanced, improving the mechanical properties, water resistance, and thermal properties of the film. When the FL content was 1.0%,the adhesive film had the most excellent adhesion, hydrophobicity, and crystallization performance. |
