Research On The Application Of Horse-Face Skirt Redesign Based On Kansei Engineering

Horse-face skirt is an important part of Chinese traditional costume system,which has established an irreplaceable historical position after hundreds of years of development.As an enduring existence of traditional costumes,it witnessed the rise and fall of several dynasties,integrated the spiritual pursuit and aesthetic connotation of different periods and ethnic groups,and contained profound cultural heritage."China revives,clothes come first",and the innovative development of traditional costumes is conducive to the enhancement of cultural self-confidence.In the era of "customer first",everything should start from people,but people’s perceptual needs are complex and diverse,which need to be simplified by a scientific means and expressed in the formal language of design.Therefore,this thesis investigates the traditional Horse-face skirt using the theory and method of Kansei Engineering.Kansei Engineering is a bridge between "human sensibility and design characteristics of things",which translates human sensibility evaluation into the design elements of things through quantitative means.Firstly,this thesis expounds the basic concepts of Horse-face skirt and Kansei Engineering,including the definition,origin and evolution of Horse-face skirt,the meaning of "sensibility" and "perceptual image".the concept,essence,origin and development of Kansei Engineering.Secondly,the visual elements(style,color,pattern,fabric)of the Horse-face skirt are analyzed by means of historical data,physical pictures and field investigation,so as to provide experimental sample and theoretical basis for the subsequent user investigation.Thirdly,taking the shape and color of Horse-face skirt as the research object,the corresponding sample space and perceptual semantic space are established,and the representative samples and perceptual image vocabulary are screened out.Then,the semantic difference method is used to design a questionnaire to investigate users.Factor analysis is used to analyze the survey results,and the perceptual needs of users are translated into design elements.Finally,guided by the survey results,the design part will be elaborated from the aspects of inspiration,scheme,drawing,description,garment production and effect display respectively.
