The green design concept advocates giving products green attributes to reduce their environmental impact. In the context of carbon neutral strategy, green design has become more prominent and is being applied in many industries. From a macro perspective, green design is to give products appropriate green ecological attributes. From a micro perspective, when green products are viewed as a functional system, the relationship between green attributes becomes an important indicator of the quality of green design. This is because the various elements of a product system that exist to meet green design purposes may not be compatible with each other. For example, new materials are used to increase the recyclability of a product, but the new materials lead to a decrease in product life.To address this problem there have been scholars who have used an engineering approach to solve this problem from a rather rational perspective. However, user experience in product design is a crucial proposition,a nod to the success or failure of the product, and cannot be ignored. Therefore, this study tries to investigate the correlation between product green attributes and user experience from the perspective of design science in a comprehensive manner. Two main points are included:First,to respond to the current wave of digitalization,a new method of obtaining user needs from user reviews is explored. Therefore, this study is not limited to the methods used in traditional design research, but uses a lot of knowledge in programming to conduct the research.Specifically,we crawl review information from e-commerce websites and obtain quantitative information about users’ experience of the product through text processing and sentiment analysis;second,to achieve objectivity and accuracy, this study adopts a lot of mathematical analysis: this paper extracts green factors from the research object and quantifies them according to the product performance, aggregates them together with experience information, and explores their relevance through data normalization and calculation of Pearson coefficient This paper reveals the relationship between green factors and user experience from a quantitative perspective. This study selects office chair as the research object, and shows the whole process of exploring the correlation between green factors and user experience, and finally obtains the heat map of the correlation, and proposes the improvement design plan based on it. |
