With the huge amount of liquid crystal display products scrapped,the recycling of wasted liquid crystal glass has become a hot issue.This thesis projects wasted liquid crystal glass as a main raw material,and is in the addition of soda ash,boric acid,and quartz sand also to develop a heat-resistant glass with a thermal expansion coefficient less than 4.2×10-6 K-1,and solves the technical problem of high-value recycling of wasted liquid crystal glass.In this thesis,TG-DSC,carbon-sulfur analysis(CS),chemical oxygen demand value(COD),ICP-OES and other test methods were used to analyze the basic material characteristics and chemical composition of liquid crystal display glass.Taking the linear thermal expansion coefficient as the boundary condition as the basis for the design of the chemical composition of the heat-resistant glass,the chemical composition of the heat-resistant glass with different wasted liquid crystal glass additions was designed,and the relationship between the wasted liquid crystal glass adding,Na2O content,B2O3 content and the glass high temperature viscosity and process physical and chemical properties were discussed,and the effects of the clarifier and the redox value of the compound(Redox)on the glass melting clarification effect and color were studied.First of all,the physical property analysis of wasted liquid crystal glass was carried out,and the thermogravimetric method was used to understand the quantity loss in the process of heating,in order to determine the adhesion of organic matter on the surface of wasted liquid crystal glass and the temperature range of thermal weight loss,and then to carry out carbon sulfur analysis and chemical oxygen demand test to get the reducivity index of organic impurities brought in by wasted liquid crystal glass,and to provide design parameters for the redox value(Redox),control of the formula design of large-addition of wasted liquid crystal glass.Based on the traditional solution chemistry and ICP-OES and other analytical methods,the chemical composition of wasted liquid crystal glass is comprehensively analyzed,and according to the calculation method for glass adding property speciality,the thermal expansion coefficient of the preparing glasses is carefuly controlled to meet the need of the glass processing line,for the premise of thermal shock resistance.The thesis then provided three different amounts of wasted liquid crystal glass addition and formed total 15 glass batch consituents.Secondly,the effect of chemical composition on the process properties of heat-resistant glass and the melting clarification of glass were studied.The high temperature melt characteristics with different wasted liquid crystal glass addition,Na2O content and B2O3 content are measured by test methods,for high temperature viscosity,high temperature electrical resistivity and surface tension,and different variation and relations are obtained,and then the relationship between glass viscosity and three-point temperature value were tested.The clarification process with different clarifiers and wasted glass added amounts were studied,and the length of their pullback and the number of bubbles under the same volume were measured and analyzed.In addition,the effect of chemical composition on the physical-chemistry properties of heat-resistant glass and the effect of Redox value on the glass color were studied.With the help of mechanical,thermal,optical,and chemical stability tests,the coefficient of thermal expansion of the glass wires from all the glass batches can basically meet the requirements underα(27)4.2×10-6 K-1,and the thermal conductivity is basically about 1.2 W/mk.At 550 nm wavelength,the glass plane specimen(thickness1 mm)has a high transmittance,more than 88%and a refractive index of about 1.5,and with the increase of wasted liquid crystal glass addition,Na2O content and B2O3 content,Vickers hardness and acid resistance of the prepared glass are reduced some.
