The round of steel is an important raw material in industrial production.The steel products produced by steel manufacturers need to be welded with corresponding information tags to meet the needs of enterprise information management and data traceability.At present,steel enterprises generally use workers to weld tags on bundles of round of steels.This method has the disadvantages of high labor intensity and high risks,and manual operations often have problems such as low efficiency and unstable quality.In order to improve the intelligent level of steel production and realize the automation of tag welding operations,a welding tag robot system for the bundles of round steels was designed.The research content of the article mainly includes:(1)According to the process requirements of welding tags on the bundles of steels in iron and steel enterprises,the overall scheme of the tag welding robot system was established,the scheme design and hardware selection of each subsystem were determined,the communication control mode of the system equipment was analyzed,and the workflow of the tag welding robot system was established.(2)The end-effector scheme of the tag welding robot system was designed by analyzing the operation objects and requirements of welding tags.The configuration design and check optimization of the end-effector were completed.The key components were calculated and selected,and the end-effector workflow was planned.(3)In order to optimize the hardware layout of the robot system,the spatial location optimization model of the key subsystems of the welding tag robot system was established.The improved particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to optimize the objective function,and the optimal spatial location coordinates of each subsystem were obtained through iterative optimization.(4)Based on the composition of system equipment and communication control methods,the communication control system for the welding tag robot system was designed.Using an industrial computer as the core of the control system,the robot communication control scheme and an electrical control scheme were established,and the upper computer software system was developed to realize real-time control and monitoring of the robot system.(5)The hardware and software system of the welding tag robot for the bundles of round steels was built in a laboratory environment,forming the industrial prototype.Hand eye calibration and system debugging optimization were carried out,and repeated industrial onsite signage welding experiments were conducted.The experimental results showed that the accuracy of the label information reached 100%,the center deviation of the welding position was within 3 mm,and the label welding cycle for a single bundle of round steels was less than 20 seconds.The results indicate that the robot system met the needs of steel enterprise welding tag operations.By analyzing the welding process and production status of steel tags,the welding tag robot system of bundles of round steels has been developed,which realized the automatic feeding of welding nails and automatic welding of robot signs through visual positioning of welding position,online preparation of round steel tags.The system prototype was built and multiple experiments were conducted on industrial sites.The results of the experiments showed that the robot system operates stably,the label welding is firm,the system can adapt to production rhythm.The system meets the technical indicators and process requirements for welding tags,and it can serve various specifications of bundled bar products in steel enterprises.
