| In the practice of Chinese traditional culture,the ’national trend’ has attracted much discussion and attention from the academic community,and as a form of expression,the development of national trend clothing design has been unprecedented.In the development of the national fashion design,there are more and more excellent traditional culture that are being conserved and excavated,and are coming back into the public eye with a new image.The people’s livelihood is a matter of clothing,food,housing and transport;the people’s livelihood is a matter of family and nation.This paper focuses on the transformation of food life into design,starting from the everyday life of the people.The design of Henan food culture symbols is taken as a design element,and the national trendy clothing is used as a carrier to refine the aesthetic characteristics of Henan food culture from the perspective of symbol visualisation,and to explore the expression of the "national" concept and the design method of the "trendy" form.In the context of meeting people’s needs for a better life,the symbols of Henan food are explored,transformed and applied to the design of national trendy clothing,thereby promoting the spread and development of Henan food culture and providing new ideas for the design direction of national trendy clothing.This paper takes the design of Guochao clothing as the starting point of the study,and combines it with a survey of Guochao clothing design products to sort out the design characteristics and performance of "Gu" and "Chao" in Guochao clothing design,and then explore the development trend of Guochao clothing design.Secondly,the study of Henan’s historical documents and histories is conducted to sort out the historical evolution of Henan’s food culture,summarise the representatives of typical food cultures in different regions and explore their cultural connotations.On the basis of theoretical research and analysis of existing design products,the design is guided by a "lifestyle" aesthetic and based on the Guochao design approach,the visualisation of Henan food culture symbols is transformed from the perspectives of both ingredients and food,and the revitalisation of Henan food culture into Guochao clothing design is then implemented.The design practice resulted in two different styles of casual and sporty designs,which enriched the content and form of national fashion products to realise young consumers’ diverse pursuit of a better life,and provided a reference for promoting the innovative development of regional culture. |
