In the past few years, polycyclic indolines, which play an important role in pharmaceutical and pesticide synthesis, are widely distributed in many natural products and drug molecules.Due to the complex cyclic structure and multiple stereocentres, these compounds have been extensively used in drug development, chemical biology and synthesis.Sulfonamide exists in many bioactive molecules.Due to the unique chemical properties and medicinal value of sulfonamide, the synthesis of this kind of functional organic compounds has a very broad prospect, and its special molecular framework has become an important structure of drugs, pesticides and functional molecular materials. Moreover, photoelectric catalysis has gradually become the object of attention due to its green, efficient and practical characteristics in recent years. It has many advances in avoiding high temperature, chemical dose oxidation reagent, and reduction reagent in the reaction. In this paper,we initially summarize the development of free radical cyclization reactions under different catalytic forms in recent years.Based on this research background, the following two work studies are carried out..(1)Visible light induced de-aromatic cascade indole molecular cyclization reaction was developed by using cyanopyridine as aryl source of free radicals under mild conditions and simple operation in moderate to good yields. This reaction provides a practical and green method for building tetracyclic indolines molecular framework.(2)A novel approach for the synthesis of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines derivatives containing sulfonamide via electric catalytic radical cyclization was described. The reaction proceeds under mild reaction conditions and transition metalfree as well as avoiding stoichiometric external oxidant. The newly synthesized 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines containing sulfonamide are an important molecular structure in drugs.
