Study On Preparation Of Chlorinated Polyether Resin/Nano-SiO2 Modified Acrylate Composite Emulsion And Its Application In Water-based Ink | | Posted on:2024-07-24 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:T X Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2531307115993889 | Subject:Materials and Chemical Engineering (Field of Chemical Engineering) (Professional Degree) | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | With the strict requirements of legal policies and the increasing awareness of environmental protection among consumers,water-based inks tend to replace traditional solvent-based inks in packaging and printing.Except for some imported water-based inks,there are currently two categories in China:water-based acrylic and polyurethane inks.Water-based acrylate inks are more cost-effective and widely used than polyurethane inks,and its use is limited when facing some printing scenarios that require high adhesion and durability.Therefore,studying water-based acrylic ink with strong adhesion and excellent durability is significant for improving printing quality and accelerating the promotion of water-based inks.In this paper,we selected chlorinated polyether resin and nano-Si O2 to modify acrylate and prepared the chlorinated polyether resin/nano-Si O2 modified acrylate composite emulsion for water-based ink.Chlorinated polyether resin,as a binder for early compound inks,is inexpensive and has excellent printing adaptability and durability.With the localization and water-based research of chlorinated polyether resin,it is expected that chlorinated polyether resin will continue to be used in water-based inks.Nano-silica has high strength and good stability characteristics and is a widely used inorganic nanomaterial in polymers.Adding nano-silica can enhance the mechanical and hydrophobic properties of polymers.First,the semi-batch seed emulsion polymerization method was used with chlorinated polyether resin,butyl acrylate(BA),methyl methacrylate(MMA),styrene(ST),vinyl acetate(VAC),2-hydroxy-1-methyl acrylate(HPA)and methacrylic acid(MAA)as reaction monomers to prepare acrylate emulsion modified by chlorinated polyether resin.The polymer’s composition and particle size distribution was analyzed by infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and a particle size analyzer(DLS).The properties of the emulsion film were studied by tensile test and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),the results showed that the glass transition temperature(Tg)of the latex film decreased after adding chlorinated polyether resin,and the light ageing resistance of the film was significantly improved.Vinyl nano-Si O2(V-Si O2)was prepared by modifying nano-Si O2 withγ-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane(KH570)to improve the dispersion and reactivity of nano-Si O2 in polymers.Analyze the surface modification effect of Si O2 using Raman spectroscopy,droplet shape analyzer,and scanning electron microscopy.V-Si O2,chlorinated polyether resin and acrylate monomer as reactive monomers and use Semi-batch seed emulsion polymerization to prepare chlorinated polyether resin/nano-Si O2modified acrylate composite emulsion.The composite emulsion film’s properties were studied by droplet shape analysis,thermogravimetric analysis and tensile test,the results manifested that V-Si O2 was evenly distributed in the film,and the hydrophobicity and flexibility of the composite emulsion film were significantly improved,which met the performance requirements of the water-based ink binder.Using self-developed chlorinated polyether resin/nano-Si O2 modified acrylic composite emulsion as a bonding material and colour paste to prepare water-based ink,evaluating the matching between the composite emulsion and pigment.Two water-based inks were formulated with composite and water-based acrylic emulsion(E0503,Shenzhen Jitian Chemical Co.,LTD.).The properties of the two kinds of water-based inks were measured in parallel.The experimental results indicated that the composite emulsion has better pigment dispersion and stability.The ink layer property of the composite emulsion water-based ink is better than that of the water-based acrylic ink in terms of adhesion fastness and photoaging resistance.Given the defects that may exist in the practical application of composite emulsion,we intend to choose a variety of auxiliary agents,which lays a particular foundation for exploring the water-based ink formula of composite emulsion. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | water-based inks, acrylic ester, chlorinated polyether resin, nano-SiO2, composite emulsion | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
