According to the results of the seventh national population census, the elderly aged 60 and above in China accounts for 18.70% of the total population, indicating a further deepening of population aging. At the same time, the number of elderly people with chronic diseases in China has also increased significantly.Chronic disease treatment requires long-term medication, and diet during medication affects both medicine efficacy and nutrient intake, thus being an important factor affecting the health of the elderly. This project takes the relationship between medication and food as the starting point to conduct theoretical and practical research on the design of healthy dietary services. The paper first conducts a comprehensive review of domestic and foreign literature on medication and diet through bibliometric analysis. The research status of domestic and overseas studies was sorted out respectively from the fields of medicine and design, which clarified the research content and methods of this project.Subsequently,by means of literature research, five common chronic diseases among the elderly in China(hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and rheumatoid arthritis)and corresponding commonly used medicines were summarized, and based on this, food types that are compatible or incompatible with various medicines were further sorted out.A knowledge graph of the five diseases, therapeutic medicines, and compatible/incompatible foods was constructed. To better develop a dietary service system for elderly people taking medication, the project comprehensively reviewed and classified existing hardware and software health-related products on the market.typical products were selected for case analysis and comparative analysis from aspects such as target users, usage methods, and functional implementation.the basic design direction of the service system based on software digital products was clarified. At the same time, based on the commonality analysis of the physiological, psychological, and behavioral characteristics of typical users, their core needs were identified, and 14 secondary needs were sorted out through refinement based on expert opinions.user needs were categorized using the a-kano model, and demand-function transformation was conducted.Based on the above research, the "age-appropriate,holistic,and tangible" design principles for health and diet services for elderly people who take medicine were proposed. The health and diet service system for elderly people who take medicine was constructed and expressed through user profiling, user journey maps, system maps, and service blueprints. The digital contact point "Food Medicine Health" APP design practice was carried out. Finally, usability testing and satisfaction evaluation were conducted on the product prototype, resulting in suggestions for product optimization and iteration. The project is based on the current situation of China’s aging society and the sharp increase in elderly patients with chronic diseases.Based on relevant theories such as disease treatment, medicine physical properties, and dietary combinations, the interdisciplinary knowledge of food hygiene and nutrition, pharmacy, clinical medicine, and design is integrated to conduct theoretical and applied research. From a service design perspective and using service design tools, the health and diet service system for elderly people who take medicine was constructed and a digital touchpoint design practice was completed. This has theoretical and practical significance in actively addressing aging issues and promoting the construction of a healthy China.
