The Influence Of Digital Infrastructure On Green Total Factor Productivity In Services In Western China

Digital infrastructure is the backbone of the digital economy.The construction of data innovation,communication network and data computing facilities all promote the accumulation of capital factors,thus promoting economic growth and industrial development.At present,the service industry has become the first major industry driving economic growth.The western region,as a region with a late start,is easy to ignore green development in the process of developing the service industry.With the development of relevant policies,green development has become a necessary condition for the sustainable development of the service industry.What are the development characteristics of digital infrastructure construction and green total factor productivity of service industry in western China? What is the impact of digital infrastructure construction on green total factor productivity in the service sector and how?Based on the above problems,this paper takes the western region as the research scope,uses the principal component analysis method to construct the evaluation index of digital infrastructure construction level,and uses the ML index method based on the SBM directional distance function to measure the GTFP index of the service industry in 11 provinces and cities in western china(excluding Tibet).This paper analyzes the level of digital infrastructure construction in western china and the development characteristics of GTFP in service industry,and analyzes the influence mechanism of digital infrastructure construction on GTFP in service industry by using Metcalfe’s Law,the theory of new economic geography and the theory of economic growth stage.On the basis of empirical investigation of the relationship between the two,the stability is tested by instrumental variable method.The mediation effect model is used to verify the influence mechanism of digital infrastructure construction on GTFP of service industry.The empirical results show that:Perfecting western digital infrastructure construction,the development of service industry GTFP exists obvious regional differentiation,digital infrastructure GTFP exist significant positive influence on services,and services GTFP level is higher,the greater the impact on the effect of the digital infrastructure construction,The positive effect of digital infrastructure construction on GTFP of service industry through technological progress,investment,market potential and service industry concentration.
