| Titanium and titanium alloys are advanced lightweight metal materials with high strength,low density and excellent corrosion resistance.Titanium is widely used in aviation,Marine and medical fields,and titanium alloy is considered to be a biocompatible material suitable for use in the manufacture of medical devices,in particular to shape skulls from titanium alloy.In order to meet the requirements of high performance and light weight,titanium parts are designed into various complex shapes.However,due to the low cold plastic deformation ability of titanium,many problems occur in the processing and manufacturing,which greatly limits its application scope.It is found that the application of ultrasonic vibration in the plastic machining of titanium and titanium alloy can solve these problems.In this paper,the ultrasonic vibration was applied to the progressive forming of TA1 titanium plate,and the finite element model of ultrasonic assisted progressive forming was established.The conical table parts were formed by using the finite element simulation software ABAQUS.The forming process of the plate under different vibration parameters and technological parameters was simulated,and the stress-strain distribution,axial force and wall thickness changes were analyzed.The influences of vibration parameters and process parameters on axial force and wall thickness thinning rate were studied.The results show that ultrasonic vibration can significantly reduce the axial force during the forming process,but the effects of amplitude and frequency on the axial force are not linear.At the same time,the maximum wall thickness thinning rate of the formed parts is significantly reduced after ultrasonic vibration is applied,which effectively alleviates the phenomenon of wall thickness thinning.Therefore,the application of ultrasonic vibration can effectively improve the formability of the plate.The research of this paper provides the relevant basis for the application of ultrasonic vibration to the progressive forming of TA1 titanium plate,which is of great significance for the plastic machining of titanium plate. |
