| Linked to the country’s economic lifeblood,Central Plain is the heart of China’s urban sprawl and a flood-prone region.Its carbon dioxide emissions account for about 5% of our country’s total carbon emissions,the highest in the country,the ecological environment is relatively fragile and carrying capacity.The integrated ecosystem service capacity is low.The overall habitat level needs to be improved.How to maximize the value of ecosystem services in the context of economic development,in the face of people’s increasing demand for high-quality ecological products and a better ecological environment,as well as the imbalance between economic and ecological development in Henan province,and coordinate to solve the contradiction between economic development and ecological protection has become a key issue.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to find out the present ecological situation of Henan province and the contribution degree and development trend of the ecosystem to the economy and society,based on the interpretation of the land use types of Henan province from 1991 to 2021,and the analysis of their spatial and temporal distribution structure and evolution trend,the In VEST model and the IUEMS model were used,to conduct a study on the assessment of ecosystem services and tradeoffs/synergies at different spatial and temporal scales,and to clarify the spatio-temporal dynamic evolution characteristics of carbon storage,habitat quality and flood and waterlogging reduction in Henan province in the context of land use change,to reveal the interactions between ecosystem services at different spatial and temporal scales,and to provide technical support for Henan province to take the lead in carbon emission reduction and green development,to coordinate social development,ecological supply and human demand to provide a theoretical basis.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Based on Landsat-8 remote sensing data,the land use types of Henan province were interpreted by using supervised classification method.It turns out,from 1991 to 2001,the interpretation results of land use types in Henan province show that cultivated land,grassland and unused land are shrinking gradually,while forest land,water area and construction land are expanding gradually.(2)Based on the interpretation results of land use types in Henan province,the In VEST model and IUEMS model were used to assess the ecosystem services(carbon storage,habitat quality and flood reduction)in Henan province.It turns out,from 1991 to 2021,the evaluation results of ecosystem services(Carbon Storage,Habitat Quality and Flood Reduction)in Henan province showed that the carbon storage and habitat quality of Henan province were 2021 as “ low in the east and high in the west”,the 2021 led the way in reducing flooding,followed by 1991,affected by “7·20” heavy rain and “Flood disaster in South Henan” respectively.(3)Based on the evaluation results of ecosystem services in Henan province,the tradeoff/synergy relationship of ecosystem services in Henan province was studied by using spatial autocorrelation analysis method.It turns out,from 1991 to 2021,the results of the tradeoff-synergy study of ecosystem services in Henan province show that the spatial distribution structure of the interaction between “Carbon Storage-Habitat Quality” in Henan province has not changed,in Sanmenxia,Nanyang,Zhumadian and Xinyang,there was a high-concentration synergy,while in Xinxiang,there was a low-concentration synergy,no trade-offs.The interaction between “Habitat Quality” and “Flood Reduction” in Henan province is mainly manifested as the synergistic relationship between high and low aggregation,the trade-off relationship between high and low aggregation,and the nonsignificant correlation,there is no change in the spatial distribution structure of “High-Low aggregation”,and the cooperative relationship of “Low-High aggregation” has the phenomenon of transfer and diffusion.The interaction between “Flood Reduction” and“Carbon Storage” in Henan province is mainly manifested as the synergistic relationship between high and low accumulation,the trade-off relationship between “Low-High accumulation”,and the non-significant correlation,from 1991 to 2001,Xinyang’s “Flood Reduction-Carbon Storage” changed from a synergistic relationship of “High-High accumulation” to a trade-off relationship of “Low-High accumulation”.(4)based on the evaluation of ecosystem services and the research results of tradeoff/Synergy,the countermeasures of ecological space optimization were put forward,the measures include improving eco-environmental management system,protecting and restoring eco-system,promoting land greening,identifying key ecosystem service zones,and establishing GEP accounting system. |
